My goodness.... time flies!

15 years ago today I was holding a 3 HOUR old baby....named the little guy, Joseph Anthony - "Joey".

Joey is still Joey (which Im SO happy about it - never cared for Joe! -ex hubby's name) but I cant hold him anymore! I cant carry him in one arm. I cant burp him....

Enjoy your babies - the mom's who have little ones. Im telling you it was YESTERDAY that I remember Joey was a little toddlin' happy guy.

I know just what you mean, my Sarah (The Dark Dancer) will be 15 July 16th. I am already dreading her going off to collage and she is just starting high school. Where has the time gone?

I've never given birth myself, but I have a niece and a nephew who I am extremely close to. When my niece was 2 and my nephew was just 4 months old, my sister moved back here and we got an apartment together. Two years later, they moved to Ohio with her now husband. He is in the USAF and she was working for them as a civilian. They worked in the same office and were both transfered out there. Ohio was an easy flight away, so I could visit - which I did at least twice a year.

Three years ago, there time in Ohio was up and it was off to Germany!

Last week, they came back to the states to visit on their way to the next base in Illinois - which is much closer than Germany.

My niece is 12 (13 in October). My nephew just turned 11. She's not a little girl anymore. She's almost as tall as I am - and despite what my husband says, I'm not short. That was hard to take.

Thankfully, my nephew is still my baby boy. We went sightseeing one day and to the mall another and both times, he grabbed my hand as we were walking. He also sat on my lap...which wasn't really all that comfortable, but I wasn't complaining. But the fact that I can't pick him up anymore was a little tough to take.

I still remember when my little sister turned 11 and how amazed I was at that. She's 30 now.

Where did the time go? Well, at least I'm not getting any older.

Ahhhh yes.......time flies, but the memories we hold in our hearts forever.

Hard to believe that later down the road...
the sweet little grands begin to arrive one by one to put a bright spot in each day!
