We have a reservations for breakfast at 1900 Park at 8:00 next Saturday. I got a fast pass for Toy Story Mania, 9:05-10:05. Do we have enough time to get there? 2 hrs should be plenty, right?
I started thinking it might not be enough, and tried to change the FP, none left for the day, and then I tried to make the reservation earlier, but there were none.
Also, we are staying t POR riverside. What time should we leave to get to breakfast. AAA said 90 min, really?

1- Nope.
You won't make it if you intend to enjoy your meal and meet the characters.

2- Driving or busses?

60 minutes might do it, but better safe...
NOTE: When you board the MK bus, tell the driver that you are headed to Grand Floridian for breakfast.
It is quite possible that the driver will take you directly to GF before or after the MK stop. (S)he will tell you if (s)he can or not.
Otherwise, exit the bus at MK and walk to the boat docks in front of MK. (See map below.)
Get on the shuttle to GF.

Oh, and you CAN save time by taking a CAB to GF. Figure $20-25, plus tip.

Last week my group had 8:05 reservations for Crystal Palace (the first name they actually called out and sat that morning) 5 adults, two kids (4 and 2 1/2).

We ate, had our coffee, took pics with each character at least once (tigger twice; he liked our LSU Tiger clothing) paid, and were back outside just behind the rope droppers (probably by around 9:05).

What does that have to do with your question? My answer is it depends.

Depends on when you arrive, how fast you eat, how fast you pay, how you get to Hollywood Studios, do you have to go through the bag check line at Hollywood Studios (if so, how long is that line), etc.

I would say it isn't impossible or a definite, but to increase your chances arrive to the ADR about :15-:20 minutes early, eat with a purpose (no need to double fist a spoon and fork and eat caveman style), pay before you're actually finished your meal, then take a cab to Hollywood Studios and do not bring a backpack that day.

Next Saturday (2/1) is a real light day in the parks with the typcail 8 am Hollywood Studios opening, so you won't have to worry about too much clutter at the MB scan stations when you enter.

Are you driving or taking the buses?

Planning on taking buses

I'm sticking by my reply in post #2.

BTW, you MIGHT be able to move your TSM FP+ on the day-of.
We just don't know.

Think it is tight. You may have to wait 20 min for a bus. Then you have to walk to security and thru the gates. That will take 15. Then 5 to get to TSMM. 10:30 would be more realistic.

You might be able to make it, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I would prioritize either breakfast or TSM. If TSM is the priority, move or cancel the ADR. In my opinion, there are better character meals out there than 1900 Park Fare and better times to have character meals than breakfast.

Agreed, all around.

My youngest is obsessed with alice. My oldest is dying to ride tsm. Mamma really screwed this up. I don't like having to coordinate this much.

Can you note move your ADR to another day? Maybe a day you are starting at Magic Kingdom?

What about scheduling it on departure day. Pack the night before you leave, then grab a breakfast.

You can always take the youngest to an Alice Meet & Greet, cancel the ADR and everyone wins.

Alice is available to meet at Magic Kingdom (Mad Tea Party) and Epcot (UK pavilion).

We have 9:45 reservations at Park Fare and an 11:30 tee time at Oak Trail. Will that work? I think Oak Trail is really close to the Grand FL. Also, can we just walk there from GF or do we need a cab?

Thanks!

I looked at doing that. The earliest they have on 1/31 is 9:10. And our fast pass for Peter Pan is 9:25.
I think I'll take my chances and worst case we have to wait in line for tsm.

On an EMH, weekend, 8 am opening for TSM with a 10:30 arrivial, you could easily be looking at 50 minutes (if not more).

The wait for Peter Pan at 10 am on 1/31 will be less than the wait for TSM at 10:30 on 2/1.

I would move the Peter Pan FP+ back until later in the day. When you arrive, if you want to do Peter Pan Standby, go ahead, then move the Peter Pan FP+ to something else. If not and the standby is too long, wait till your FP+ time.

The first hour the park is open has too small standby times to be spending your FP+.

I would keep messing with FP+ and see if you can get a later time to come up- in my experience, things change about every time you try it with their glitchy system. I had MDE tell me there were no TT FP+ available for an entire day, then after I tried a few more times it gave me only evening times (I needed morning), and then after I kept messing with it it finally opened up just about any time in the morning I wanted. Maybe if you try it a few more times, it will show some better times for you.

I think it is going to be next to impossible to make both. If you want any kind of chance, you want to be at 1900 at least 20 minutes before 8, to try to be at the front of the group that will all be there for the 8:00 seating. I've heard of the place not opening exactly on time and of them not seating people with 8:00 a.m. adrs, until 8:10 or 8:15. The characters do not start coming through until 8:15 or 8:20, and it will take a while for them all to come through. You should expect that you probably will get out of the restaurant around 9, but there is a possibility it could even be as late as 9:30. The absolute earliest I think you could get out of 1900 would be 8:45 (unless you eat really fast and skip characters), but I think that is a long shot.

Also, we've stayed at the GF twice and both times the bus service was terrible, especially in the mornings. I don't think we've ever waited less than 20 minutes for a bus there. It is not the first stop on the bus route, and especially in the mornings, you will find that sometimes the buses fill up at the other resorts and they either drive through the GF and tell you they are full and the next bus will be along shortly, or skip the resort all together. They have an electronic board telling you when the next bus will be there, but in our experience, all we did was look at it and get excited that the next bus would be there in 7 minutes and then watch the time switch to later and later until we had waited 20 minutes to 30 minutes. We go in low crowd times too.

DHS is about 6 miles from GF- so it will take between 10 and 20 minutes for the bus to drive there depending on the morning traffic. Then you have to walk from the bus to the gate, go through bag check, get through the gate, and walk back to TSM.

IMHO 2 hours is a risk, and I say that with some recent personal experience. If the restaurant doesn't seat you on time... if service is slow... if the characters are detained and arrive late at your table... if you have trouble getting to the park. Lots of Ifs.

I told my 7 yr old we might not make the tsm ride, and she was fine with it. So, I'm not going to stress.
I have tried to change the Peter Pan time, Tea cups for 2/1 and the only times left are late in the day, like 8:30 or 9:00. Must be a busy day in the park??:confused3

Hmmmmm.

I don't like the sound of that regarding FP+.

2/1 is not a busy day.
