We are arriving at the AKL on Jan 1st, around 12:30PM we have ADR at Chef Mickeys at 5:40. Now, I have just finished watching Food Networks Disney special, and I really would like to see the Gingerbread House at the GF. There are 6 of us, one os a 4 year old. Do you think it would be feasable to check out the display before dinner, and yet not start our vacation rushing? Because our flight leaves at 7AM, we will have to start early in the morning, so I don't want to rush them too much in the afternoon.....but it is coming down the 2nd. Thanks in advance for the info.

Why not after dinner? Since you are worried about time constraint??? Your plans sound so much like ours. We will be arriving at about in the early afternoon and our first stop will be Chef Mickey's as well; at 5:40 PM if I remember correctly.

Bummer....I would love to see it too, but we are arriving on jan 3 Oh well, at least we will get to play w/Buzz LOL!

You could just play it by ear. If you get settled quickly and feel restless, head to the MK resorts, ride the monorail, see the gingerbread house, etc. If you get in late or want to rest once you're checked in, you could monorail over to the GF after dinner.

You should have plenty of time unless you are thinking of fitting something else in that you did not mention. Even if you spend 2 hours settling in you should be ok. Obviously if you have a car, it will be even easier.

Thanks for ther ideas! I never even thought about after dinner. It was so long age that I stayed In Disney, that I have no concept of the time involved going from one place to another. My DD thinks that the little one will enjoy seeing the displays because she watches the special with me.
