I'm going to take my adult bonus daughter to Disney January 25, 2016. It will be her first trip (and is a surprise - I'm big on those!), and I'm not wanting her to worry about money, so my plan is:

2 Adults
5 nights on-site (we won't be spending much time in the room)
4 day tickets (no hopper)
Disney Dining Plan (with table service)

Because rates and packages aren't out yet, I'm having a hard time getting a handle on how much this is going to cost me. Do you think I can do this for under $2k? I've been receiving pins, but they all end at the end of the year.

So, I just went online and checked for Thanksgiving week (because I don't think it's included in the discounts) and staying at a Value, with the Disney Dining plan (upgraded) and 5 nights, 2 adults, 4 day tickets no hopper was $2032. Hopefully I'll be able to get a discount and the prices won't go up that much for the last week of January. Historically, that's a low cost time period.

Just remember, with the dining plan you have to cover tips for all the TS meals. They tend to add up quicker than people account for. And, of course, spending money!

And just a thought... Since you're staying 5 nights, you might want to add another day or two to your tickets--being a first time trip for her! After you're past 4 days, adding another day is only about $10 per person. So even if you go only for a few hours on arrival or departure day, it's totally worth it!

Good thought on the extra day. I could take her to Epcot the first night for dinner, since there won't be pool time (which is what we always do our first day). And her dad (my husband) is paying for all the "extra's" charged to the room ;-).
