I really want to make the most of our time at WDW just like everyone.Due to dh's work schedule we are only spending on day in each park. I plan to get up and be at MK for rope drop. Is it possible to get through pretty much all attractions in Fantasyland before the masses arrive? Our trip is planned for Sept 20-25. My plan was to try and get Fantasyland,Toon townand tomorrowland done in the morning/early afternoon,go back to our resort for a bit and then return and do Liberty Square, Frontierland and Adventureland. Does this seem like a doable base plan? I have been pouring over my WDW planning quides I got forChristmas nad am getting conflicting plans. TIA

Pretty much, yes.

Even better on an AM EMH morning.

Yes and no.

You will likely want to visit MK on another day to get "everything" (well, the "good stuff") done, and a few re-rides on your favorites.

We have to be home for my hubby's work so we have only 1 day for the parks. Any other suggestions?

Its possible but you better put on your speed shoes. It will be a busy couple of days.

Recognize and accept that there's no way to do "everything" in one trip, especially one in which you can only spend one day in each park. You will still have a wonderful time, and you can make a list of stuff you missed to hit on a future trip.

If you are choosing an EMH day then yes. You'd have to hustle up Main St to fantasyland and hit up Dumbo immediately. Then peter pan, then carousel, then Snow White, then Pooh, then tea cups, then back to philharmagic then to it's a small world.

I think that's all of them and that's pretty close to the order we do them in and get them all done before 9am.

Seriously if you have nothing/no one slowing you down you should be able to get fantasyland and frontierland including 2 mountains done before 11am.

If you have to skip anything I'd skip toontown as there isn't much there for adults IMO.

After doing those 2 lands I'd head over to adventureland then back to tomorrowland. No rush to tomorrowland as Space Mountain will be closed.

Not sure why you would go back to your room though for a break? Just take a sit down in the parks as needed. It takes a long time to get back to your room and then back to the parks. Not something I would choose to do when you only have one day in the park.

We will most likely skip Snow White. DS (will be 5) has decided he has no desire to go on that ride. I've done it before many years ago and could care less. Can we get autographs at the character meals instead of hitting toon town?

Wait Space Mountain will be closed? DH and DD(will be 8) will not be happy. DH is thrilled to have a roller coaster rider with us. I don't do coasters

I thought we should go back to the room and rest/ swim cuz every guide book I've read recently says to do so I thought I should:confused3

I think a lot will depend on your family's stamina. I agree with the poster who suggested that you skip Toon Town, unless that's the best place to get autographs for your children. If you're doing rope drop you can get a lot accomplished in the first hour or so. Also, Animal Kingdom may not take you a whole day if you have park hoppers you can head back to MK and catch some attractions that you may have missed when you finish at AK.
Good luck and have a great time!

IMO....AK and DHS are pretty much half day parks. So if you have park hopper tix and you feel the same way, you could always make it back to MK a time or two more if you really want.

When we were there, we got in almost everything we wanted by 2, although it was definitely rushed. We used fastpasses whenever we could, and probably couldn't done more, if my mom hadn't walked the little ones over to Toontown while we were on Space Mountain! :lmao:

yes you can get the autographs at character meals but the ones in Toontown are not the same characters unless you go to a princess meal. And you can only get the fairies in toontown. But I wouldn't waste so much of your day trying to get those. You dont' have enough time allotted to use any for standing in character lines.

And yes the break/swimming thing is suggested but not when you only have 1 day in the parks. We do rope drop to close for about 5days before we need to take breaks during the day. That's with 2 adults, 10yr old, 5yr old, 4yr old and 2yr old. Meals should be sufficient down time for a single day. The kids will crash hard at night but that's a good thing! :thumbsup2

If it was DHS or AK then I'd say go take the break then park hop to Ep or MK afterwards. But not at MK or EP.

And yes Space Mountain goes down for rehab on April 19th until late 2009, which also means it could be early 2010 before it re-opens.

I suggest an 8a ADR at Crystal Palace, this serves three purposes 1) breakfast 2) Entering the MK before everyone else and 3) You are basically in Fantasyland when you are done with breakfast, so you beat the crowds that are still lingering on Main Street.

We do MK on EMH Evening Hours.....get to early CP ADR, stay at MK until 2ish, head back to resort for swimming, go back to MK around 6ish, eat dinner in the park. And then you have anywhere from 1a-3a to tour MK (depending on the time of year).

I would not waste hours inToontown getting autographs if I only had one day.

I also would not go back to the room for a break. I doubt anyone will want to anyway!

One full day at MK is probably enough to see most of it if you don't do those 2 things. :yay:

So IF we were able to get ADR's at CRT,CP &CM. The only characters we'd miss by skipping Toon town would be the fairies.Fairies aren't that big in my house. Our main characters in my house are Mickey, Minnie,Pluto, Goofy, Pooh and the crew,Ariel and Cindy.
