Is this doable? Fantasmic, FW and PTN...

Will this work for a mid November trip....
9pm Fantasmic (we'll be getting the BB dinner package for the reserved seating).
Stay put for fireworks.
11pm PTN parade.

Or is this a better plan...
8:50 PTN parade.
10:30 Fantasmic.
Stay put for fireworks.

I realize that I'm planning way in advance and that times could change. We'll be there Mon-Fri so Fri will be our only chance to see Fantasmic. If neither of the above will work I could potentially see PTN any other night, correct? I'm just hoping we can do all 3 in one night as that would be a fantastic way to end our trip!

Your first plan will totally work. I did it last week with no problems whatsoever. I suggest hanging back a bit for the crowds to clear after the fireworks so it's easier for you to get over to the hub/Main St. for PTN.
Your 2nd plan won't work because they only do fireworks once each night at 9:30. I suppose you COULD do 8:50 PTN, then stay put wherever you are and watch the fireworks, THEN head over to F! However, it would probably mean getting positioned really early for a good view of PTN, and you would want to be somewhere where it would be easy for you to get over to F! It's easier to stick with the first plan.
Yes, you could see PTN on another night, since they should be showing it nightly.

Either will work...I have done both! If you're okay with waiting longer I would do the first parade, but that does require a longer time of saving your spot than returning with a fantasmic fastpass, but I personally prefer watching the fireworks from the castle or small world. Either way, try for a blue FP for fan...if you go to the first show you'll have a better angle for the FW after, if the second show you'll have a less crowded space as blue FP doesn't run out

I would do the second plan as I prefer watching the fireworks from Main St. If you have a dining package it will be easy enough to do and still get a good spot, however the crush of humanity walking from Main St to the RoA after the fireworks can be a bit much

Are they doing Fireworks twice a night? I don't know, so I'd be sure to double check that before you go.

We did PTN, Fireworks, Fantasmic earlier this month and it worked really well. However, we staked out our spot TWO HOURS in advance and STILL didn't get front row/curb seating.

We showed up on Main Street at 6:15 and found a spot. I ran over to Aladdin's for dinner and our fast passes for Fantasmic and we ate in our spot. At 7:30/8:00 they put the rope in place across the road that splits from Main Street to Frontierland/Adventureland in front of Jolly Holiday and it was pretty much all standing from then on. As soon as the parade was finished, they rolled up the ropes and everyone quickly moved into Main Street.

Dh was able to go against traffic to get us into Frontierland and then we made our way back to Fantasmic. It worked well.

My understanding is that nobody quite yet knows what the PTN and Fireworks schedules will be once "off season" hits? Or am I wrong in that thinking?

OP will have to watch the schedule because Disneyland is limited when they can launch firework because of close by residential neighborhoods. We were there during peak crowds (resorts at 10s and parks at 9/10) and there was still only one firework show.

There is only ever one firework show with very few exceptions ( NYE for one ) but I don't think the OP was planning on a second one, just put stay put in the wrong spot on the second option

I'd go for plan B. Went on Saturday night and the evening parade wait is long. We camped out only 2 hours before and got second row. When we left after the fireworks at 10 pm, some people were camping on Main Street (they were getting run over) but more spots open than taken.

In the off season I'm not sure you can count on a second F! show, can you? I've been in the fall when they didn't even run the night shows on weeknights -- only on weekends! And a second PTN? I agree that it's too early to know what fall entertainment will be like.

If it's a Friday night in November I think you will be able to see all three in one night. That being said you'll have to wait to see the show times to decide which option will work. There will only be one set of fireworks most likely at 9:30. There will probably be two showings of at least one of the other experiences - PTN or F! but we just won't know which until the off season hits. My guess is one parade and two F!s but who knows! Also keep in mind that crowds will have subsided quite a bit then so navigating the shows will be much easier. It will still be busy but not like it is now.

To get from Main St after fireworks to Fantasmic -- would it make sense to take the train from Main St Station to New Orleans Sq Station? That seems to be easier than navigating "upstream" from MS -> Hub -> ROA. Or is Main St Station after fireworks too busy?

I'm thinking about doing OP's 2nd plan in 2 weeks... :-)

We are going in Oct as well and I am trying to figure out a strategy to watch the fireworks from Main Street, Fantasmic and PTN in the same evening without having to add a day onto our tickets.

I'm not sure how busy Main St. station would be right after fireworks, but the trains come every 10min or so and a lot of people tend to get off at Main St., so your wait might not be too long. It's a tough call. You might be OK if you watch the fireworks at the end of MS closest to the Hub on the left side of the street facing the castle then you wouldn't be swimming upstream too much. I can't remember how they direct traffic over there. In the past I feel like they wouldn't let us turn into Adventureland, but we could turn into Frontierland and go that way. You could always ask one of the CMs that's posted over there. Good luck!

Ah... ask the CM, that's a great strategy! I'll be reporting back in ~2 weeks. :-) Thank you Angrose.

Like Angrose said, watch the fireworks from the Jolly Holiday side of Main Street (left side when facing the castle). CMs will set up one way traffic patterns. To enter the ROA you will be sent through the Frontierland entrance while those leaving the area after watching Fantasmic! and fireworks are directed through Adventureland.

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone followed the CM directions with regard to traffic patterns? I get so annoyed by people who willfully go the wrong way, and further add to the congestion.
