Is this Crazy?

I was thinking of buying an AP at the end of the year for DH-2-be and myself. Here comes the crazy part, we know we won't activate them for a few years. Our honey moon is in sept this year and we know that we won't be able to return for a while. I know they don't expire so I was hoping to avoid a hugh price increase when we do go again. Does this sound crazy?
