Okay, so we have our trip planned for Dec 4-12. We are very excited and counting the days!!

Well, I just found out today that there is a very good chance that my work will be shut down the entire week after Christmas. So I will be off work from Dec 24-Jan 3. I talked to my mom and we are thinking of taking a second trip to Disney.

We would go a bit cheaper the second time, drive instead of fly, stay at POP. (although neither of us are willing to give up the dining plan!!) It would be me, my mom, and daughter (who just turned 3) (for sure, some other family might go with us).

So is this totally nuts? Would you do it? I know that is a very busy time, but I told my mom I would rather be at a busy Disney than no Disney at all.

Okay, opinons??

If you can afford it, sure :) Maybe upgrade your tickets to an AP to get more bang for your buck as well. I would LOVE to go 2 times in a year, let alone in a month!

I'll go against the grain and say that I wouldn't do it. You already have a nice 8-day trip planned for early December when it won't be too crowded. You'll get a chance to see the holiday decorations. You many find that trip to be enough. Going back so soon at such a crowded time might spoil it for you. If it were me, I would spend the time off after Christmas relaxing at home.

Two trips in a month...super!!! One of them during the busiest week of the year at WDW...not super. Besides, I always like to end on an up note, and downgrading resorts, transportation and huge crowds isn't my idea of up. I'd skip this one. And I don't skip Disney.

Dec. 4-12 will be value season (the least expensive for on-site resorts) and reasonable crowds...

Dec. 24th and on will be Holiday pricing (the most expensive) for resorts AND dining, and insane crowds.

Enjoy the first week of December and upgrade your resort from CS to a monorail resort!

I never thought I would say no to someone asking about a Disney trip but the main reason I would nix the idea is you said you would be driving. From Indiana to FL at that time of year I would consider snow, icy roads, little child in car and Mom ? uh...No...not me

If you’re up for the adventure then why not :)? Though it would be a good idea to carry more people along…you know winters, safety etc. Lucky you!

I think multiple trips to Disney are a good thing but I personally wouldn't go so close together. I need at least 45-60 days in between trips for them to be enjoyable to me. For us there is so much planning and preparation that goes into a trip that going back a second time withing a two week period would be so insane that I would be exhausted and cranky.

If it was me I would move my first trip earlier in the year -- say October or November and THEN I would consider going back after Christmas.

I wouldn't where it's so close together. Plus you didn't mention your husband going the second time, I'm sure he would want to spend the holidays with you and your daughter rather then you be away.

MTE. It's better to be left craving more.

I say - You go Girl! If you've got the time and money - go for it! Have a great time!
