Me and my Mom are taking a trip to the world...just the 2 of us, her 1st trip. I would love for her to eat in the castle, but we really won't want a whole meal there, so is it possible to get a ressie there, and just get a dessert? I know that you can do this in other places at WDW, but since this is a pretty popular place, I wanted to check.... we would probably go there in late afternoon. Thanks! :goodvibes

You may be able to do this at dinner and just be charged for dessert. At lunch I'm sure they'd probably charge the full adult price regardless since it is a very popular character meal and the meal is a package price.

how late in the afternoon do they have the princess' there? Or, how late are they open? I would love to have dessert right at park closing, then walk down an empty Main Street!!!

Many years ago, there was a charge of $5 at character meals for each non-eating patron. I suspect that's gone up quite a bit since then.

Are the princesses there at dinnertime or late in the night, like near closing? We don't care if we see the princesses, but just want to see the inside of the castle. :Pinkbounc

The princesses are not there at Dinner. They are only present for lunch and breakfast.

if we go in the evening, is it ok to get dessert and drink only? Or is it required to get a full meal? We are on the free dining plan, but we already have all our places set, and CRT is not one of them, but I will splurge and pay cash fr dessert if it is allowed! :goodvibes

I'm just guessing, but my best guess is that it would be fine for you to order just dessert and a drink, but *only* at dinner.

I would call DISNEY WORLD and ask first so that you are not dissapointed if you are not able to just eat dessert.

The last time we went, in February, the charge for a non-eating participant at a character meal was still $5 (and they gave us a beverage as well!). We did the "Dine with a Disney Imagineer" lunch at Brown Derby, and we were still stuffed when my family had their early dinner ressie, so we just paid the fee and had a snack later.
