is this a slower week at Disney?

I just checked available Fast Passes for tonight and at 6pm, there is still some pretty good FP's left. Maybe this is a slow week? When we were in Disney over Memorial Day weekend I didn't see any good FP's left.

I'm wondering if I should switch my FP's to the morning when I go in the middle of July for hopes of 4th or 5th FP's?

Based on wait times, (generally only 2-3 attractions at or above 100 mins) this has definitely been an unexpectedly, slower than average summer week.

I would change your fastpasses earlier anyway because there is a very good chance you could get at least 4-8 more afterwards if used early. My family went over New Years aka busiest time of year and we were able to ride 12 rides with fastpasses all headliners.

I think maybe the crowds at Epcot & DHS are pretty slow considering the summer season traffic and that some folks find limited appeal with the available attractions. There are hordes of people at AK, which park were you seeing FP avails for?

It is slow, it was slow last year at this time too. All schools are out this week, so there could be a slight uptick in crowds.

I was looking at all 4 parks. Sure wish we had picked this week. My son's gf is a teacher so with snow days we didn't know when she'd be out for the summer. Hopefully July is ok

A lot of schools just finished this week though due to heavy snow in the north resulting in more days on the school year for some. We were there last year around this time, less snow and you could see the crowds pick up as the days passed.

You were actually able to get that many? So afraid to move mine and then have nothing to do at night. We were at MK for a day last July 19th and the lines were bad at night. I did have fp's so after waiting an hour for pirates we were able to use them. ::yes::

If it is like last year, most of July (other than the week of 4th of July) won't be appreciably more crowded than late June.

We are here now, started at Epcot one day last week then went over to MK for the evening, ending up getting a total of 13 FP+ that day!! I think I started my FP at about 10 or 10:30.

We were there Memorial Day week. We were able to get several 4th and 5th FP. On Friday 6/2 - our last day - we used our initial 3 FP at Epcot in the morning, then went to Magic Kingdom in the afternoon and were able to get 4 or 5 more before we left the park. We checked after we used our last one which was around 9:45 and there were still a few good options left.

I've seen others say that outside of the crowds waiting for the fireworks shows, the crowds are business as usual 4th of July. We won't be there on the 4th but will be there the 3 days before. Am I being overly optimistic by hoping for only a slight uptick in crowds while we are there compared to now?
