Maybe someone can help me out here. Last summer I was on "Small World" and in the last room where there are signs that say Good Bye in different languages I came accross a very suspicisous one. The sign read and I quote

"SA-WAHT DEE KRAHP"

Does this mean Good Bye in any language or is it a Disney Secret?

OMG! DH and I saw this on our last trip in Jan. and absolutely howled! We kept walking around MK giggling everytime we thought of it. I'd love to know also - can't really picture Disney using the word "crap" for a joke, tho . . .

well I have seen this question posted so many times that I =have lost count. no one has ever explained it so I have decided to tell you what language that is.

Are you all ready?????

Did anyone guess Thai? ::yes:: I went there and follwed CMs around for over two hours until someone not only got me the answer but showed it to me in their official "word"dom. I lived in Singapore, Malasia and Thailand for several years. While their alphabet is not like ours it the arabic of Good-bye in Tahiland. I thought it was but I was alway too embarrassed:o to put it in writing in case I remembered wrongly.

I found all these different ways to say hello in Thai, so of course they picked that one!!

Thai -- Yin Dee or Sawasdee or Sa Waht Dee Krahp or Sau Wau Dee

I lived in Thailand for 1 1/2 yrs. It is thai. Only males say it that way. Maybe Disney should have done the Female version. Sa Wa Di Ka. I've never noticed it though, one of my favorite rides. I'll look for it though this trip.

We saw that the first night of our trip last August. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw it, and it became our catch phrase for our trip (because every trip needs a catch phrase). Everytime my niece, nephew, and I said goodbey to each other, we said, "SA-WAHT DEE KRAHP."

I'll have to tell my niece and nephew it's Thai. We were wondering what language it was.
