Is this a ridiculous amount to take

I didn't think we'd spent that much on our last trip until we got home and I worked it out. Everything (flights, hotel, spending money) came to about £14,000! That's just for the 2 of us.

We're planning a trip to Tokyo Disney this year and the flights alone could be as much as £30,000, though. Better get saving!

£30,000 - you going on the Space Shuttle....? :)

It was just over £15,000 each for first class flights to Tokyo. I admit I haven't done my research yet, but I don't expect to find flights that much cheaper. Business was around £10,000 each!

Our flight last year to Orlando cost £7,000, but we've got quite a lot of airmiles with that company, so the next flights there are pretty much paid for.

That's exactly what dh said!

Student grants must be better than they were in my day  . Krystal, you really don't need to pay this much for first class seats to Tokyo. Or anywhere. Having said that, the fact that you do makes it cheaper for the rest of us, so I should really thank you.

I couldn't justify the cost no matter how much I wanted to go it brings me out in a sweat just thinking about it. :earseek: I really do it on the cheap. ;)

That's why we're considering going to Hawaii instead. We weren't really prepared for the flights to be so expensive.

If we go to Hawaii, we can use the airmiles and save quite a lot of money that way.

Sadly, Dbf won't go back to WDW again so soon.

Krystal, £15,000 each is extremely expensive! DH travels to Tokyo and Hong Kong quite frequently and although his company pays the fare, he still has to book it himself (or gets me to!). He travels Virgin Atlantic Upper Class and it is never more than around £7,000 and most frequently it is between £4,000 and £5,000.

As for Upper Class to Orlando if you have paid anything over £2,500 then you could have quite easily found a better price.

:wizard:

£30,000 :earseek:

Even VA Upper Class flexible ticket is 'only' £5200 each!

Not too sure which airline charges £30,000 but it must be very very good.

Claire ;)

Sorry, I'm just being really nosy here but which airline are quoting £15,000pp? You can do much better than that, even going first class. Our friends looked at chartering a private plane to Acapulco, as there are no direct flights from the UK, and that was only £100,000 - between 6 of them!

Wow, I dont know anyone who would be prepared to pay more than £7000 for a airplane ticket, since its only a 9hr trip.

I think it was BA, but like I said, I haven't researched yet. I was just having a look on expedia to get an idea.
