Is this a good spot for Illuminations viewing?

Trying to find a good, unobstructed viewing spot for Illuminations and was thinking about the outdoor dining area to the left of the Rose and Crown Restaurant (not the patio section where you are seated and they take your order...rather the section where you can sit down with a take-out meal from Harry Ramsden's or the like.

Just wondering if anyone has sat there for Illuminations and didn't have trees or anything in their way obstructing the view of the show...

If this isn't a good spot, can you help me choose another one please and thank you?

It's a pretty good spot, just get there early because many people are usually around that area.

Also, have a backup because sometimes it's roped off for a special occassion (weddings and what not)!

I think you should wait to decide where you will watch Illuminations until the night of. Everywhere around the lagoon has a great view, so pick the side that is in the opposite direction of the wind/breeze. That is my only criteria of where to stand!

Oh, I think you MIGHT have a few more...

Like no overhead TREE LIMBS, decorative ROCKS, or large ISLANDS in the lagoon should be blocking your view of the sky or the water.
Its also good to have a clear view of several of the WS pavillions as they are a nice part of the show.
