Is this a good rate for Swan Concierge?

We are thinking about going to stay at Swan Concierge during the Memorial Weekend period. I was given a rate for $189 plus tax, or $129 for a lakeview room.

Is this a good rate? Or should I just take the lakeview room and hope for an upgrade? Thanks

Lucky.......Yes, $189 is a good rate for Swan CL!! So is $129 for a lakeview room. But $60 a night is high for CL, I think, if you don't take advantage of it 3 times a day! You have to decide if it is worth it. What you can do to get an upgrade is to get an SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest) card on their site(www.spg.com) and get an American Express SPG credit card. You can start charging things on your cc and then SPG awards you points for which you can upgrade to CL for 750 points a night. By Memorial Day, you should have plenty! You can also upgrade your original SPG card to gold, then platinum(with other stays, or matching other hotel cards), which gets you even more perks! Good luck.
