We will be going on a cruise out of Cape Canaveral in sept and thought about staying here. I emailed and asked about availability on 1 bdrm, 2 bdrm std, 2 bdrm deluxe prices as we have 6 people. They emailed back with they have 1 1 bdrm avail at $240 for our night. The 1 bdrm has 2 double beds and the living room has a sleeper sofa, to fit all 6. I also asked about car rental parking/shuttle to port info, but they didn't answer that part. Does anyone know? Is this a good price? Would you recommend staying here? If we decide to book should we just do it now?....as it sounded like this was the only one available? How can that be? Do you think they are truly almost fully booked already? They also said I'd have to pay for the one night now as they require a 1 night deposit to hold the room, but we'd have a 72 hour cancel window prior to arrival to get our deposit back. What has your experience been here? Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you.

We stayed here before our cruise in Aug. It is very nice but I think with some research you might find a better price. We had a 2 bedroom with a code (it was in the Florida Travel mag) and paid $169.00. The kids enjoyed the pool and "crazy" river and they have a little shuttle out to the beach. Very nice all around. We will book there for our cruise in 06. Parking was not a problem, and there are several resturants close by. Next time we will stop off at Walmart and get something easy to fix for dinner as the kids didn't want to leave the pool to go out. The early check out helped us be one of the first families on board too! :teeth: Check the Cruise board here on the Dis as codes are often shared over there. Enjoy your cruise, I can't wait to go back! :flower:

Thank you. I have started a thread over there as well. The codes interest me. I'd like to know where I can find one. I'm also curious since these are timeshares if you can rent straight from an owner cheaper...like through vrbo or some other condo rental site. Anyone know?

Ok, I asked Ron Jon's some more questions. They had a typo in their original deal. This is their corrected pricing:

Yes, we do accept AAA as a discount which would be 10% off. For the One Bedroom the rate with AAA would be $180 a night plus tax, Two Bedroom Standard the rate with AAA would be $216 plus tax and for the Two Bedroom Deluxe with AAA the rate would be $261.

So, it sounds a little better. We're thinking of doing the 2 bdrm....anyone know the difference between that & deluxe? What do you get for the extra $55? And, since we have to put 1 night's deposit down when we book (essentially paying in full for our room now), what happens if a code comes out later? Will they honor the code and allow me the cheaper rate? What would you do? Book now & still search for a better rate? Or wait? Thanks.

Also is there a better building I should ask for?

Ok, we booked it!!! Yeah! Can't wait...hoping for early air to have some fun too. If not, I may have to book air 2 days precruise & add on a day at Ron Jon's! ha ha LOL
