I have reservations for 06/30/05/ to 07/10/05,at the quality suites on Canada ave. near Universal.I am paying $86.00/night before taxes. I was wondering if anyone has stayed here recently and if this is a good price for this property. I am also staying at the Pop Century from 06/27/05 to 06/29/05. I am paying $84.00/ night for this hotel. I would also like to know if this price is good or if any discount codes may come available for these dates. Any info be appriciated.

I think you are paying too much for Quality suities could be wrong - but that seems high.

Pop Century - it is a good rate - but the codes will definitely improve it. Hopefully the codes will bring it down to $59 (before taxes). (taxes are 11.5% here)

you need to look at discount sites closer to your time
www.hotelkingdom.com
www.hotelmartusa.com
there are several others too

WDW resorts will not appear on them - but sometimes it is on www.expedia.com

but only sometimes.

That does seem a little high for that property. We stayed at the Hawthorne Suites on Canada in Spring of 2003 and I paid less than that....maybe around $69? At least from the exterior, the Hawthorne Suites looked a little nicer too.

Thank you for the info. Since some of you experts think $86.00 is too much to pay for a quality suites room, I started looking for a new hotel. I found an Emassy suites on international drive/Jamaican court. This hotel, I could get for $99.00/ night. I know it is more than the other place but I feel an Embassy is a higher rated hotel. What do you think about this hotel and price. Anyone with info on this place would greatly be appriciated

Embassy is a much higher quality than Quality - so this is probably a pretty good rate for this hotel.

I would feel better about paying $99 for Embassy Suites rather than $86 at Quality Suites. Embassy Suites has very good breakfast!

Just a thought--last year I went to Universal Studios, and at one point left the property to hit a drugstore around the corner on International Drive. Let me tell you, I got stuck in the *worst* traffic jam. . . I swore I'd never set tire on International drive again! (of course, I did . . )

But it seems that for the prices you are paying for these hotels, you could stay on site for a good price, too, and have more convenience.

Just a thought. . .:)

Thanks for the thought "blowinbubbles". The first reason I am looking for hotels in this area is because we, my family of six, are buying a five park Orlando flex pass and are spending ten out of our fourteen days outside of disney property. The second reason is I need two rooms to accomidate us onsite at disney. The third reason is breakfast is provided at the embassy which is a great money saver for me and my brood. We usually switch back and forth between the I-Drive and Lake Buena-vista areas, depending on our agenda.

P.S. This will be the first time in five trips that we are able to stay on site. Thanks to my 600 disney visa points. Hope the kids enjoy it!
