Is this a good price for Eurostar?

I'm hoping someone can help answer this question. I'm confused from so much research! We will be visiting DLP in July, for one night. We'll need one way tickets from DLP to London. (not return) On the Eurostar site (they make you click a country, so the US version), they are quoting $116 per person non-flexible, which is 69 pounds (sorry, I don't know where that symbol can be found!).

Is that an ok price? I thought I saw people quoting around 70 pounds for return tickets, which makes this seem expensive. But maybe they meant one way? Sorry for being so clueless. :)

Is there a better way to do this? Will I get a better price if I don't click "US"? Any help would be appreciated!! Thank you!!

69 Pounds could be right for the single fare in july because that fare has been on sale for months already.
what exact date were you looking at?

We're looking to get tickets for July 18 (Fri). I wish I had known earlier that it all depended on how quickly you booked them. There's been so many details for our trip (it's over three weeks) and then with regular life, I just didn't get to this in time. Darn it.

I,ve just had a look at the uk version of the eurostar site, your date is showing as 74 pounds each so your US price would be correct.

the only other thing you might consider is waiting until exactly 90 days before travel and booking the indirect fare. you may have to book through sncf instead of eurostar though as its an indirect fare originating in france. there are several indirect trains each day ~ maybe have a look for say friday 16th may just now to see the times for the indirect trains?

If you want to book the indirect Eurostar from France you can do this on the French site. Just use google translate to help you through it.

Thank you for the help! Is there any chance you could tell me quickly what the indirect train is, so I will know what to look for? Chances are, we may have to book direct anyway, since we will be traveling with luggage....but I'd like to find out my options, just in case. Thank you!!

You still search for Disneyland Paris to London, but when you search for it on the sncf or French Eurostar websites, it will come up with one change instead of direct (the change is at Lille international).

We called directly instead of trying to book online (also from US) for June back in December and got tickets for 39 pounds, one way. So cheaper rates can be found! HTH!

It can all be quite confusing when looking at several different country sites. This is what I'm running into when planning the DLP portion of our Paris trip. I go to three different sites and get three VERY different prices.

Good luck!

Thanks everyone! Yes, I'm finding it to be a bit confusing too with the different sites and options, but it's part of the traveling experience! Hopefully I can find something lower than the original price. Thanks!

Ugh! I went to book it today and the prices went up to $131 per ticket! I booked it anyway, because I figure it's not likely to go down in price (right?) and it'll only go up. Anyway, what's done is done...and yay! We are one step closer to our trip! :cool1:

yep you're right - the direct fare will only get more expensive the longer you leave it :).
