Is this a good price for car rental for April?

We will have the car for 9 full days, getting it at Budget (got code here-
X474200), its a SUV (mini van was same rate). It was $315 for 9 days plus, $100 taxes and fees. Is that OK for 9 day rate? Don't really need an SUV, but don't want an economy either. PS 4/5 thru 4/14.

It's always a good idea to reserve a car you think has a good rate and then keep looking. You can cancel the first car if a better price comes along, just don't prepay. I think that's a good price for April.

Like the pp said, you can reserve it and watch for something better. Personally I think it's high. To get a better rate, be willing to check every day and follow along in the April thread to see what others with your dates are getting. About 6 weeks out from our next trip Enterprise dropped for one weekend. I got a fullsize for 9.5 days for 250 all in. Part of this trip is still within Presidents Day week so a decent rate over a holiday is possible.
Prior to this, we've never paid more than 200 for a car or van. So stay on top of it and cancel this one if you find something better.

It's certainly pretty good for what people have been finding recently for that timeframe. I've got a minivan for 8 days 4/14-22 for $337 including taxes & fees, using the same Budget code, so yours is in the ballpark.

Hi. I used the same code (can someone please confirm it is from travelocity, I want to make sure I don't run into any problems), for 6 nights for a minivan
and got $299.14 so I think for 3 more days (2 nights?) you did well.
My dates are March 22-28 (Week before Easter).
I'm back on the hunt...

That code originally was posted on the bidding for travel website in 2002. Source: http://www.rentalcodes.com/codesearch.html The person who posted it claimed it came from travelocity. There has never been any proof that is actually true or not. Needless to say it has been used over & over since, so unless Budget decides to change policy, you should be ok.

Thanks. Just so we are all aware, I did call Budget after I posted and didn't give them my ressie number but I did tell them I had a code I wanted to use and asked where/what it was before I used it. I read them the code and they told me it was a travelocity code and it can be used.
So, I confirmed this with Budget today.
