We just had our offer accepted for OKW entended.... 150 points @ 56.00 per point. We have been looking at the reasle market now for a year now, and this price seams pretty good. There is also not a lot of inventory for OKW extension is that a good thing or bad? Just need a little feedback on our decision to buy this contract!:surfweb:

Wow, that is great - do you mean the sellers accepted or it passed ROFR? From what I am reading, not a lot of OKW owners decided to go with the extension (from 2042 to 2057) when it was offered so that is why there are so few out there on the market. I think it's amazing you found one for 150! I periodically look at OKW extended and only see contracts for 300+. I think you really got a fantastic deal! :thumbsup2

Thanks for that:worship:.... it makes us feel good to know that we made a good choice. The offer is accepted by the owner and now we have to wait for ROFR!

I think you got a really nice deal, especially with the extended dates.

Congratulations and good luck with ROFR. With what has been happening lately, I think you will be a DVC owner very soon!!!! pixiedust:

Yes, thats a great deal. Last year we added on to okw thru Dis because we couldn't find the contract we wanted. We wanted the extended and only 50pts, they were no where to be found. We paid cash and no closing costs and it was $100 per pt. so $56 is awesome. I have a question maybe someone could answer, if we do another add-on at okw and it's not the extended contract can we combine it with the extended we have if it's the same uy. Thanks

WOW, nicely done!!
May I ask a couple of question?…
Who did you use?
How long was the process?
Was there ant negotiating?
How much was closing?
Did you get any unused points?

Sorry for the questions, but we are looking to add on as well, and looking @ resale

Thanks inadvance

We used Fidelity.
We are still in the process but it only took 1 day for the seller to accept our offer. What we offered was accepted. Closing is $450.00 but the seller is paying that was part of the deal. The use year is DEC so we have all points for 2011 and 8 banked from 2010.

That is a great deal and should hopefully make it through ROFR.

I just had an offer accepted and am awaiting ROFR. I am using The Timeshare Store (dvc-resales.com) and have been extremely happy so far. Made one phone call to ask a few questions and gave the broker my verbal offer on the contract I decided on. Later that night I heard the offer was accepted and had the contract emailed to me that night for signature. The contract went for ROFR the following day. The contract is for 270 BLT points and closing costs are $650.

Contracts themselves are never combined. If you have the same UY and title it the same way, it simply becomes another contract on your membership. So, if your current extended OKW contract is 00000XX.01, then this one would be 0000xx.02.

You can use them as though they are one big contract to book stays but they always remain separate. Therefore, if you buy one that expires in 2042, it will still expire in 2042, even though you have one that expires in 2057.

I think your deal is great. Right now my contract for OKW is at Disney for ROFR and that is $60 a point for 70 points (expires 2042). So I think yours is fabulous!:goodvibes

I too think it's a great deal. That's roughly what we paid for our last add-on in the early 90's.
