Is this a good deal?

Been a T-Mobile customer for over 10 years, we have 2 flip phones and looking to add 13 yr old daughter to plan. Called retention line to see if we could add a line and get upgraded to smartphones. Eventually the final deal was 3 free Samsung Galaxy s4 blaze phones and monthly bill of 132 with unlimited text, 1000 minutes and 2gb of data. Could get it down to 113 a month without the web. Still quite an increase from our current bill of 56 a month and we have never come close to using our 400 minutes. Just wondering how this compares to other deals out there, I turned down this deal and will continue shopping. My contract is up and free to go anywhere. Just cannot justify doubling our bill for the smartphones, thinking probably better off just getting our daughter a "dumb phone" like us.

We use T Mobile, and have two smartphones, unlimited talk, text, and web, and two dumb phones....slide out keyboard, unlimited text and 200minutes each, and we pay much more than that!

if your goal is a smartphone for your daughter, and a lowprice overall, go with a monthly prepaid plan such as straight talk or pageplus for that- contracts are rarely as good a deal, plus your monthly fee is set, no extra taxes, etc with a monthly plan. I love page plus, my ds loves virgin mobile for 35.00 per month.

2gb is nothing...and it sounds like all you really want is a phone for your 13 year old that wont cost you much more. A go phone is so much cheaper on the long run, a cheaper phone, 100 for the year and you are done.
Otherwise you can also do 38/complete month for sprint and its also month to month...better phone runs about 100...there really are lots of options.
I cannot believe people do/want to pay 300 and more per month on phones...so many better things to be spending money on. Good Luck!

Get her a phone not on your plan. Virgin Mobile has plans with 300 minutes, unlimited texting and data for $35 a month.

Or you can look at Kajeet.com. We started our kids off with phones from them since we could monitor their use. I could keep them from using the phone for specific times using a chart online. I turned them off from 9pm to 6am on weekdays. No texting friends in the middle of the night. Plus you can keep track of who they call and when if you want and even set up a locator in case the phone goes missing. It's been a few years since we've used them, but it was really great and very inexpensive.

I would love this deal. I am paying TMobile $30/month/phone on 2 smartphones. I am going to try the retension center next time as I think they offered you a sweet deal. (PS. I thought my deal was great until I saw this one)
