2 adults - 8 days/7 nights, preferred room at Pop Century, 8 day park hopper & more tickets, and deluxe dining plan (3 meals/2 snacks per day) for $2450??? It sounds great to me, but I'm new to all of this...

I wasn't able to go beyond a year to check if you're getting a great deal or not. But according to this October's rate, a package identical to yours is $2425.00(includes all taxes) from the AAA site. Good luck!

We stayed at the POP this past August. I booked the standard but got the preferred. How?
We arrrived around 11 in the morning, upon check-in, I asked the CM nicely whether she has a room closest to the main pool if possible. She pondered a little, and told me that she was able to give us a room with a great location. We didn't pay for the upgrade. How wonderful was that!! If you want to check your luck too, get the standard now but be ready to pay for the preferred. You might be able to save another $100 +/-

The picture of the waffle is awesome!

How did you like POP?? What are the best areas to stay in that are closest to the front and transportation buses?

Yes that defnitely sounds about right. I wouldn't hesitate to keep an eye on discount codes since you have a year, you may end up with a promotional code and it could knock it down a bit, since you're paying for the dining plan it shouldn't effect the package. Have fun! :)

the price does include the deluxe dining plan for 2. The rep told me she would keep an eye out for any discounts, and if any come out within 1 day before our trip, we can apply it.

Just to let you know, we just came back from WDW on the free dining plan and it was a lot of food. We only had the 1 TS, 1 CS and 1 snack per day and on the last day still had a few snacks and counter service meals left. We did not purchase any food and still were stuffed. Unless you want to eat TS for every meal (and think of all the reservations and time taken up eating that wasy) I really think the lesser is well enough. Just a suggestion from someone just back. The TS does really structure the visit with just 1 per day. Have a great time on your trip!!

Thanks for the info!
I know the deluxe plan would be good for my husband (boy has a super fast metabolism), but I would be totally fine on the regular plan because I can just eat a protein bar for breakfast and be fine there. I still can't decide between the two??

The main thing, other than the cost, is the time it will take away from the parks. We have visited Disney many times usually 7-12 days and only had 2-3 TS meals. This past week every day and 1 per day took much time up. I guess just think about what is really most important. Have fun thinking about the choices!!

Thanks for the insight! I really hadn't considered how much time it would take to do a TS every night.

and 1 per day is just on the basic plan. You would have 2-3 if you have the deluxe. I say 2 since you could choose the 2 TS restaurants and still have another per day!

Just want you to know that we are going in July 08 with the Deluxe DDP. I know that 3 TS for each night's stay seems alot but this is how we do it:

we are booked for 5 nights Deluxe DDP package plus one extra night "room only". So we will have 3 x 5 nights = 15 TS for each of us to use during our 6 nights' stay. You could still use the left-over credit even on you check-out day too. Can you see now that you might be able to cut the DDP to one less night?
We are planning to eat a TS lunch/breakfast every day for 6 days,3 signature dinners(California Grill, Flying Fish, and Jiko) and 3 Ts dinners too.
