Is this a good deal on a camcorder?

I got an email today from QVC with a couple of pre BF deals, including this one on a small digital camcorder. I know DS 10 would love a camcorder to make videos for YouTube, but I know absolutely nothing about them and hadn't planned on getting him one this year- his big gift is the DSi. But if this camcorder is decent, I may consider it at this price. I tried doing an Amazon search to look at reviews but couldn't find this model. Anyone know anything about it or have an opinion? I don't guess the DSi will make videos will it?

I've never heard of this model before. It looks like a knock off of the Flip camcorder. I'd go with the Flip if you're looking for this type of video camera. It's easy to use, just plug into USB and it sends the video to your computer, and it's software is set up to send your video directly to Youtube if you want it to. The Flip is $99 at Besy Buy this week. That is a really good price too.

Leo Laporte's show, The Daily Giz Wiz, favorably reviewed the Snapp Cam3000 about a month ago and I have been thinking it might be fun for DS7. Both this QVC option and the 3000 would require an SD card for anything more than basic storage. That said, this one seems to be a less expensive option. Still pondering.

I saw one post on this one...could not find it at any of our 3 Targets.

I'd say the Flip is to camcorders what the iPod is to MP3 players. Ease of use.
Just bought one then saw the one at BBB by Sharper Image for $50...

Our tech guy in our school district raves about the Flip, but it is double to quadruple the price...worth it?
