To get the rewards dollars, I pay my bill online. When I go online,
there is a place at the top of the web page that I click on to check my reward dollars activity. This is where you order a Disney Rewards Card. This is not a charge card, this is the card that you will transfer your reward Dollars to. You transfer in $10.00 increments. Once you get the Disney rewards card, you can make your transfers as you need them, I do mine online, just before I am leaving for Disney. My card that I received last year has a expiration date on it, so don't ever put more Reward Dollars on it than you think you may use. You can reload the card in minutes, providing you have the Reward Dollars showing in your account online. You take the Rewards Card to Disney and use it like a Credit card for whatever purchase you choose. I usually pay for my Dining with mine, you can buy tickets, rooms, anything Disney sells. The card scans just like a credit card but it has a limit, just what you have transferred to it.
It is really easy to maintain. When the card expires, you order a new one. I have done this twice, just make sure you have used all that was on it or the Dollars will expire with it. Yesterday I transferred just enough to cover my dining and left a balance in my account.
I hope this has helped answer your question. You get $1.00 per $100.00 charged. You may think this doesn't sound like a lot but we use our for everything and it does add up. I haven't paid for food in 3 trips.
