Just wondering if there is a still a boat from the Westside to the Marketplace. We are seeing the 6pm performance of LaNouba and then we want to head over to the Marketplace for some shopping, but I remember it being an awfully long walk and I don't know if my mom will be up for it. So, is the boat still running? If not, how long is the walk - and are there any other options?

There was no boat running when we were there last December. I guess you could hop on a bus, but it would only take you as far as the Pleasure Island stop. There was no West Side stop last time I was there. I would estimate the walk as 10 minutes or so.

Thanks, Tyler, for the "official" word on this. But, where was the boat hiding last year? Seriously, I did not see it, and I even asked somebody about it and was told it wasn't running. My DS would never willingly pass up a boat ride!

That I could not tell you. Perhaps with French Quarter's renovations... umm.. ahh... I don't know. LOL

But I do know it's running now. I was working out of Downtown Disney, and on my lunch break, I ran into a former Monorail Pilot colleague who had transferred to Monorails when the river cruise originally shut down 3 years ago. When they reopened, she returned to her passion. :) But while having lunch, I specifically asked her about those boats, and she confirmed they are running. :)

Great! Thanks for taking the time to check it out for me!

What are the hours of operation? Do they run during the mornings and afternoons too?
