Until about 10 minutes ago I would have said cookies... but I just made some great ones! Mine always turned out super flat- I took a friends advice and chilled the dough- VOILA! They look and taste great!

cheesecakes~ they taste good but they dont look good.

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies. They are my favorite and I cannot get them right. :(

Are these the ones with a single chocolate chip on top??

Jello - my family suffers from lack of Jello b/c neither my dh or I can get it to set up properly. His is too firm and mine is too runny. And according to my dd, it tastes odd no matter who made it.:crazy2:

have given up on bread after several good attempts. comes out crunchy for some reason.

I'm ashamed to say - Rice Krispy Treats! I can make all kinds of cool things- but, I can't make those to save my life!

I tell my kids that their mother is Rice Krispy Treat-challenged and they'll just have to have them at someone else's house! LOL

I spoke too soon- 2nd batch of cookies is underdone... that'll teach me to brag!::yes::

I am really not the greatest brownie baker (always over or underdone) or cookie baker, but now that I see your chilling tip, perhaps I will try that next time I bake cookies!:D Congratulations!:sunny:

Carmelizing sugar (in this case for my DH's favorite spanish "flan").

Denise < --- went through 50 lbs of sugar, every cookbook I owned, and every pan in the house. HE came home and got it on the 1st try ;)

Mine is pie crust too. I am sure I could do it if I tried enough but I always end up using too much flour and it just isn't flaky.

Maybe I can help???? They are not easy but they are good.

1/2c oil
4 squares unsweetened baking chocolated melted
2c Sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1/2tsp salt
2 cups sifted flour
2 tsp baking powder
1c powered sugar

Mix oil, chocolate, sugar...let cool
Blend egss 1 at a time until mixed. Add vanilla.
STIR in salt, flour, baking powder. Chill overnight. Heat oven to 350. Drop tsp into powered sugar. Roll into balls. 2" apart on a cookie sheet. Bake no LONGER than 8-10mins. DO NOT OVERCOOK!

TIP: When you take them out of the oven they should look "uncooked". If they look done they are overdone.

Pie crust here, too.

And I ENJOY underdone cookies AND brownies!

Thank You. :)

I have tried to make these the last two Christmases. Last year I cooked them too long. The first year they did not hold their shape. My dough was really crumbly. :(

I have decided to skip them this year (give it a rest :p) and try some new kinds. I will try them again next year with your recipe. :)

Yorkshire pudding. Sometimes I *almost* get it right. Often it will rise spectacularly in the oven, but once it's out, well it's Yorkshire pancake. My grandfather made wonderful Yorkshire pudding, my aunt makes a good one, I'm using the same recipe so obviously there's something wrong with my technique.

I'm usually good at making cookies, I just made a batch of choc. chip cookies and for some reason they came out flat. I have not idea why, I followed the same receipe as always. I need these to bring on Thanksgiving, now I will have to make something else, they look horrible!

Between pie crusts (roll them out so many times that they are thick and chewy!) or cheesecake. The last one I made from scratch stuck so badly to the glass pie plate that we could only scoop out the middle, and had to throw the pie pan away with the crust still stuck!!

I cannot, no matter what recipe I try, cannot get sugar cookies to turn out. Either they are too floury tasting or they burn. Or they stick so bad, and I've tried everything, that I get mad and just chuck the dough in the garbage.

Oh, me too! :(
