Is there something happening at BCV this summer???

Wondering why it was so easy for me to get in. My 7th month window was the last week of Dec. I called this week and was able to get 6 days no problem...5 are weekdays in a 2br. Just curious if there is something I don't know about. I tried to get BCV last year in early feb. for our mid Aug. trip and could only get weekends or a day here or there during the week.

I am wondering the same thing, I just booked 3 rooms there yesterday for July 20th with no problem.

On the flip side MS told me everything was available which I thought was weird. I just hope their systems do not have a glitch in them

I read this and almost had a heart attack! We are planning our first "hang out at the resort and enjoy the pools" BCV 4th of July trip(although we will be going to the parks a couple of the days) and when I read this I thought "oh no, what are we going to do now!"

I did not see the bottom of your post and started to dial Disney to change my reservation!! Then I saw the bottom. Good thing I saw it because I do not think they are open right now and I would have had to freak out about it until tomorrow!!

I WAS ABOUT TO FALL OUT OF MY SEAT CHECKING THE CALENDAR FOR OUR TRIP. We are there on the 26th so I was like OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

I actually called Disney to inquire why the pool would be closed in peak season and they were almost to the point of arguing with me that the pool was not going to be closed.

Moral of the story: read the entire email before you pick up the phone

I am quite the prankster but I think I have met my match!

This was the same case for us last June. We stayed in a 2-bedroom the second week of June (June 12-19 or something) for my graduation trip. We booked at the seven month window and had no problem. No idea why. It is probably true about many switching over to AKL Villas; however, this does not explain last June.

It was just as easy for me to book the AKV as the BCV. I am doing a split stay.

BCV is home resort we had ot booked for july 12-22. But we switched to AKV for 4 nights then we will try SSR for 4 nights. The last 4 nights will be VB. Just wanted to try something other than BCV switched at 7 mounts got all resort no problem.

Also had an easy time booking at BCV for July at my 7 month window. I have a dedicated 2BR for a week , then a 1BR at my home resort in AKV for the two nights after that. I was really surprised to be able to get the dedicated - since I thought it was so hard to get these. But it looks like we'll all be in beds - no sleeper sofas!

We too are in a dedicated. This is all so very odd. I guess Animal Kingdom might be part of that.

I really think the economy has something to do with it. I had absolutely no problem getting BCV at 7 months(2br, 2queens) for MLK weekend 08. The real test is to see who can get BCV for F&W at 7 months(then we will know the economy is in the tank).

When I bought a Starwood ski week(Avon, CO), I was worried I would get one of the late dog weeks to deposit into II, no I got a decent 2008 ski week when we closed in October.!

Awhile back we tried to switch from a studio to a 1BR at BCV for Spring Break
and absolutley NO LUCK. We are currently on the waitlist with not a lot of hope of it coming through. But summer time dates are so spread out.
