I am receiving a refund due to extenuating circumstances (if you read my past posts, you can get the majority of the story). At any rate, I sent my unused annual passes back to the ticketing department in early November. On November 19th, I was informed they had been received and I should receive a refund within 14 business days. After that time had passed, I called a number I was given via ticketing communications department email, and was told that they didn't request a refund check until November 28th, but over and over again I was told I would get it by Christmas. Here it is just 2 shopping days left, and no one can tell me where my refund is. As a matter of fact, when I spoke to a supervisor who was looking into my problem, she informed me that I was lying and that I was never told I would receive my refund any sooner than 6-8 weeks (it's now been 6 weeks). I have an email in which proves that I was told 14 business days. She refused to do anything else, and said that the department who sends the refunds are slow because of the holidays, and that I shouldn't count on the check before Christmas. When I argued that is not what I've been told all this time, she said that I was not telling the truth. Basically the call ended with me in tears, and they will not respond to my emails and the call wait times have been more than 20 minutes (I can't afford all the long distance calls!). So, am I just out of luck, or is there someone else I can call to see if the check was ever sent out?? I guess we're not totally out of luck because we had saved up $300 in Disney dollars so the kids will have a Disney Christmas, but this experience with the ticketing department has completely turned me off from Disney World.....even my little boy said that if Mickey Mouse would make me cry, he didn't want to go there. (He just heard me say I was talking to someone from Disney....he didn't understand what was going on except someone at Disney made his mom cry.) Any suggestions would be great -- didn't know where to post this. Thanks.

I have no idea, or tips....
Just ((((HUGS))))...
I hope it all works out.....

Yikes! Maybe you could see if a friend has unlimited long-distance on her phone and ask to make your phone calls from there? You should consider posting your dilemma over on the Community Board, that's a very active forum. Someone there might know what person or office you should contact.

agnes!

According to The Dis Contact List the number for Disney Guest Relations is 407-824-4321 Maybe by calling a different department you will get a different set of ears and find someone who will go above and beyond to help you. I don't know if this will help at all but thought I would suggest it. I hope your father has a quick recovery and you get this all straightened out soon!

Thanks for the advice and well wishes. Guess Disney isn't going to come through. I've tried calling several other phone numbers, but they all tell me to contact the ticketing department who doesn't respond to emails, or phone messages (even though when you are on hold it says to email them or leave a message and they will get right back to you). This is the number I was given to call: 407-566-4985 Option #2. I've already spoke to them about the issue, and I spoke to a supervisor, Annette who said that it's out of their hands and into the hands of another department, but they can't be reached. So, basically, 6 weeks since the refund was approved (I started this process Nov 7th), and promises upon promises by the ticketing department that I'll get the check by Christmas, it's still not here. The check was supposedly cut on November 28th, but 24 days later, no one can tell me why I haven't got it yet, other than the holidays are causing the delay in some mystery department. This year has been so stressful, and we are blessed to have what we have -- someone loaned us money to get Santa gifts (my little one still believes and thinks if there isn't gifts from Santa it's because he's been bad.....we even resorted to telling him the truth, but he doesn't believe us!).
Thanks again for the advice and well wishes. I appreciate being part of a community where everyone is so kind and helpful. Thank you again.
