I just saw a picture at OKW on the internet, and it showed kids playing in the sand. Is there a sandy area for kids to play? If so, we will need to bring sand toys. My kids LOVED the sand at Storm Along Bay (even more than the slide).

I don't want to tell them about the sand unless it is true. Please let us know if there is sand there to play with so we know to pack some sand toys.
Thanks!

Yup, there is a sandy area with some kid stuff (like wooden playground type of structure) at the main pool area. I don't remember what is at the otehr pool areas. If you check out www.wdwig.com Deb Wills has a bunch of pics of all the resorts and stuff, I believe there is a pic of the play area.

Thanks! I loved all the pictures. Cindy, all of your pictures are great! I have no idea why, but I love looking at people's vacation pictures from Disney. Where were those lights on the sidewalk at Epcot???? I didn't see those when we were there.

Thanks again everyone!

Thanks!! :) Those lights are in front of Innovations West. If you stick to the middle of the walk to leave the park you won't see them.

You kind of have to steer towards the front of innovations west, there are some low walled planters/benches there and they block the lights. There is another sections over there where the sidewalk sparkles.

Kids love it. Definitely steer that way on the way out if its dark out.

Have Fun!

As of a few weeks ago, the fast food snack bar (Goods to Go?) at the OKW main pool gave kids' meals in sand pails with shovels attached. Even if you don't get the kid's meal, often there are a few unclaimed ones scattered about the playground area. So if you don't have room in your luggage for sand toys, there are other ways of having them available.;)
