does it pay to take a 3.5 year old & 1 yr old to universal
is there any rides there for them to go on
or should just drive the hour to tampa to go to busch gardens

I have never been to Busch Gardens but I can tell you the things my 6 year old liked at Universal/IOA.
IOA
Jurassic Park: Pterandon Flyers, Discovery Center.

Seuss Landing: High in the Sky Trolley Train Ride, Carouseussel, One Fish Two Fish (Dumbo like ride) Cat in the Hat.

Harry Potter: Flight of the Hippogriff

Universal: Men In Black, Woody Woodpecker Kidzone (kid's coaster there)

For us there is alot more to do at IOA. Good luck deciding!

Yes, there is lots for kids to do ...

Universal Studios has the E.T. Adventure, Shrek 4-D, Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster plus A Day in the Park with Barney and Animal Actors on Stage shows. There is also the Make-Up Show, Fievel's Playground and Curious George.

IOA has the whole Dr. Seuss area with One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, the Caro-Seuss-el, and The Cat in the Hat, plus Jurassic Park (with a great play area for kids).

Check out the Universal page for more info - Universal for Kids

My kids were 4, 8 and 12 when we went to Universal (now this was many years ago) but it was one of their favorite parks.

There are a lot of family friendly shows and most of the rides are doable. My four year old loved Jaws, Fievels Play area (we were there forever) and ET the best.

Islands of Adventure was only thought when we were there but when I was there a few years ago the Seuss Area was very kid friendly and there are quite a few shows that are family friendly.

thanks for the info
can these parks both be done in the same day or one day for each park
i did look at the website
i was just concerned if the kids would be afarid of the motion rides
i see that a lot of the rides say good for the family

You can do both in a single day but one full day per park is recommended. Your kids could spend hours in Suess Landing and Camp Jurassic as well as the Curious George Goes to Town water area...especially if it's hot.

Mind if I steal your thread? We are going in May and I'm thinking about just doing IOA (mainly for HP) and skipping Universal as we only have 1 day (Disney the rest of the week). Are we missing out on a lot if we just do IOA? I ask here kuz my 2 youngest are 1.5 and 4.
