Is there really no bus from MK to Disney Springs?

We have a dining ressie at Disney Springs as soon as the MK closes, I assumed we could just hop on a bus and head there but im starting to think there isn’t a bus that goes from MK to DS? Is that correct? If so, I’m guessing we can either go to Contemporary and catch a bus or call an Uber?

You could also take a bus from MK to Saratoga Springs and walk to DS. Get off at Congress Park.

They used to run buses from parks to DS after 4pm, but those haven't been back since the parks reopened.

At least one The DIS knowledge authority (whom I will not name) says that the most significant reason for no nonstop buses from theme parts to and from Disney Springs was insufficient patronage. It is very complicated having a bus for every possible permutation of end points. So connecting trips* (for Magic Kingdom to Disney Springs, transfer at a resort) make up a large part of the transportation picture.

* In a few cases one leg of a connecting trip can be done on foot (no pun intended). Some examples already given above.

The lack of buses is intentional - they don't want people parking for free at Disney Springs and using buses to the theme parks.

The busses never ran from DS to the parks, though.

I would think the demand for busses from the parks to DS would be higher now, with the parks all closing so early, but maybe there just aren't enough busses with the decreased capacity on them.

Another option would be to take the monorail or ferry to TTC, and call an Uber from the ride share pick-up point at TTC. We found Uber/Lyft to be the fastest way to get to Disney Springs, since you never knew whether there would be enough room for you on the bus whenever it arrived. Disney Springs was considerably busier at night than I've seen in the past, due to the parks closing so early.

Also, consider where in Disney Springs you need to go - Uber/Lyft drop-off is at the Marketplace end and the bus drop-off is at Town Center.
