Husband and I want to go on rides, but kids to small. Can one parent wait in line, go on then the other get fast pass??

Yes, they will allow you to take turns. Never did it myself, but I'm sure someone will soon post with the way to do it. :thumbsup2

OK -- Here is what I have heard you can do (but of course I have never and would never do this :rotfl: ).

Get two fastpasses for RnRC for example. Go to fastpass line when the time window is correct, present ONE fastpass and ask for a Kid switchpass. They will give you a switchpass good for up to two people anytime that day. One parent goes on the ride. When he comes out, go up and use the switchpass for second parent Then, do it all again if you want with the second fastpass and you'll get in 4 rides in a very short period of time!

Again, I would never do this, and quite frankly I'm surprised I even thought of the possibility of it. Flame Off. :rolleyes1 .

Just ask at the Fastpass return entrance at any ride, or if not a FP enabled ride the first CM you see. Make sure you have a fastpass, do not try to do the child swap with the stand-by line unless it is a short wait. We always have to tell the CM we have a non-rider because our youngest is tall enough but a total chicken (we call it the chicken swap, lol, yes we are mean parents :teeth: )

In some of the lines you can wait at an indoor location with a place to sit. In Epcot there is even one ride with an indoor toddler/little kid playgroud to wait at (Test Track or Mission Space, I can't remember which). At MGM there is nowhere great to wait for Rockin Rollercoaster so we wait in the Tower of Terror gift shop (around the corner).

We did it with the baby at Goofy's Barnstormer in Toontown. DH and DD waited in line and when they were on the ride I walked up the exit ramp (CM told me to do this) and waited for ride to end. When ride was over DH got off and took baby and DD got to ride again with me. It worked great! Just be sure to tell the CM who tells you what number to stand on that you are doing baby swap so they will not put someone on that number for the next people who would get your car.

Just wanted to reiterate because so many people said to use Fastpass, that a ride does not HAVE to have Fastpass to do this. even if it is not advertised as allowable for that particular attraction, I've yet to find a ride that some arrangement wasn't made. For example, my niece did NOT want to ride Spaceship Earth, PERIOD, because it was dark. My sister waited on the benches by the handicapped entrance with my niece while DBIL rode, and they switched afterward.

If there is a ride that both you and DH would like to ride that has a height restriction, be sure to use babyswap. Ask a CM before you get in line. They usually give you a little ticket that looks like a FP. One waits in line while the other stays with the baby. When he's done, the other one gets to go through the FP line. The nice thing is if you have any older child, they get to ride twice, because the little tickect is good for 3 people. When I don't have an older child with me, I spread Pixie dust and invite a couple waiting in line to join me in the FP line.

Some rides like Splash Mountain and Mission Space have little play areas for the little one where you can wait. For Soarin' we walk to the nearby food court and get a cookie for DS3 while we wait. For Space mountain we wait in the arcade that the ride exits into.

Disney is starting to get wise to this game. When approaching the CM for EE this summer he asked my DH to turn in his FP before giving him the rider switch pass.

Make sure you ask the CM working the ride, and they will hand the parent sitting out a ticket to come back and ride when the first one gets off the ride. It worked GREAT for us last year, and my DS was in heaven that he got to ride all of the "thrill" rides twice in a row - once with Dad, and once with Mom. :)
