Definitely more to that story..Universal ( any themepark for that matter) is not in the habit of kicking people out of a park unless there is good reason

I am obviously not sure as I was not there, but I would think maybe the father was getting belligerent while 'questioning' this policy? I don't really see them being told one minute a new shirt was fine and then a bunch more security showing up and telling them to leave.

This. No theme park is going to prevent someone from spending their money AND refund the money for the tickets already purchased for no reason.

UO's rep statement was that the man should contact them if he wants to discuss it.

There is no themepark anywhere that would ruin the chance to take money from people without good cause. I don't believe any of it.
