Is there anywhere better than Bonnet Creek?

I booked through Vacation Strategy and they were the cheapest at $80 a night.

I have always seen Bonnet Creek go for more than the $100 a night too. We stayed there for a partial week last October and only got it due to trading into RCI. We requested a quote for 4 night in June (I know it will be more expensive than off season), and it was over $1000. We got a 2 bedroom at Star Island for $450 for the same nights.

If you are an RCI member, also look for WBC in extra vacations. For example, right now there are 4 different Oct. weeks available in a 1BR for $529. I think the 2BRs go for $599 when available. Not sure and could depend on season. They seem to get drops every 3 months or so, so you have to keep an eye out.

For WBC I book thru owners from Redweek.com. Last year I got a 2 bedroom for 7 nights in August for less than $600 !!

HI! Would you mind telling me how that works? We are interested in a three bedroom, but on a limited budget for November.

Is it risky booking through owners from Redweek? - like renting DVC points? Are you trusting the owners with your money to make reservations for you?

Yes, you are renting from an owner just like renting DVC points. Some listings are from individual owners, some are from companies that manage the points and properties of owners. Is there risk? Like any financial transaction there is, however very few incidents of fraud have been reported in the decade I've been renting reservations. Still, you have be do your due dillegence as you would in any financial transaction.
Also, remember the risk cuts both ways. The renter has to be comfortable with you as well.

Is that a website or a TA? Thanks!
Vacation Strategy is a company that has made a business out of renting timeshare reservations. They get them from owning their own timeshares and managing the timeshares of others, sort of David's advertised all over this board.

They have been in business for quite a while and you can find many comments about them on this board if you search.

With anything I guess there is always a risk. However, I have used Redweek for my bookings for the past 5 years and I never had a fraud issue of any kind. I use PayPal so my personal account information is NOT shared with the seller/renter. Redweek does charge a small fee to join to use their service. I pay it WILLINGLY every year. I travel to Orlando during PEAK season and have never had luck with getting a Bonnet Creek quote to be under $1000 from Vacation Strategy...EVER!!! Sure if I went in October or off-season, I am sure the deals are better. But for July and August I have NEVER been able to score a deal I see others getting. So I will stick with Redweek. (In 2016 I got an AUGUST week @ Bonnet Creek 2 bedroom for the week for $599!!!!) I may not rent from the same owners every year but I have NEVER been disappointed.

Sounds fair.

OK, yes I have looked them up online. Thank you!

Good to know. I will look into Redweek. I joined Vacation Strategy but I will consider joining Redweek also - probably closer to when we are going if there is an annual fee!

Thank you for sharing your insights!

depends upon you I love Marriotts, hilton and hyatts - but they can be expensive.
