This is meant to be a light hearted post - no spouse bashing :)

I realized this morning that my wonderful husband is not capable of putting the hand towel back on the towel bar correctly. He always takes it off in order to wipe his hands or mouth and instead of folding it and putting it back on, he'll wad it up in to a ball or stand on the other side of the bathroom and throw it towards the towel bar, to see if he can make it

Now he would say I'm incapable of rinsing the dishes thoroughly before putting them in the dishwasher (I thought that's why it was called a "dish" washer ;) )

:)

My DH is not capable of shutting a door in the kitchen.

You can always tell he has been in the kitchen because the silverware drawer is pulled out and there are cabinet doors open as well (usually to the glasses and the plates). If there are not many clean dishes then I find the dishwasher door open.

It drives me crazy but after living with him for about 2 months after we got married I decided to find other battles to fight....it may be becoming more of an issue soon because DS will soon be walking around and I don't want him to get hurt.

There are plenty of things that Chris isn't capable of doing, but he has genuine physical limitations. As for things he just doesn't do, he learns to acquire new habits.....:D

But the one that gets me is that Chris can't walk by a light switch without turning it on! For some reason every light in the house has to be on! If he's in the living room, for some reason the Kitchen, Dinningroom and hallway lights HAVE to be on! If I walk through, I'll shut them off, come back in a little while and they're all on again!

To my knowledge - DH is not capable of giving birth!;)

Seriously - I have the same problems with the bathroom with my DH and DS and the kitchen cabinet doors with my DS.

I also hate that my two guys stomp all through the house (especially right after I've mopped!) with their wet and snowy boots! Grrrrrrr...........

And hanging up coats - those two are definitely father and son, they just toss their jackets anywhere!

Folding back the bed comforter, sheets etc. at night NEATLY nor making it up in the morning. Totally inept:p !
If he unmakes it in the evening for us, I have to remake it and fold it back properly:crazy: !

Hmm... not much.

He can do stuff like cook, and iron (he irons clothes better than I do!), even handy stuff to harder handy stuff.... things like installing satellite dishes/dishwashers himself, to redoing drywall...

He can put together a PC/install memory/other stuff with his eyes closed... he can.. he was training a blind employee at work, and helping the employee and himself do it.. so he did it..

But as for things he doesnt' do.... hmm.. bringing the towel from the bedroom and hanging up in the bathroom is there. Leaving boxes sit (we've been here two weeks, and there still not unpacked!)...

Little things!

Putting his dirty clothes in a hamper...I can see exactly where my dh has been when he comes home in the evening and I'm not there because he leaves a clothing trail from the front door to the bathroom. Sometimes he has a long and varied trail so I know it took him a while to hit the shower but the long procession of hat, coat, shoes, socks, belt, undershirt, shirt, pants, and underwear let me know exactly where he was, lol.

I'm trying to think of something. My DH is more like Felix Unger than a slob. However, everytime the Red Wings win the Stanley Cup he feels that is is necessary to hang a HUGE banner up in the basement. He also feels that it is necessary to hang way too much hockey paraphanalia on the walls in my son's room. He needs to leave my decorating ALONE.

Is there something he's not capable of doing? Nope :)
Is there something he refuses to do out of principle? Yes :p

My dh is totally incapable of hanging up his COAT! He does it about twice a year a then says to me.."see I hung up my coat"...
As far as he is concerned the backs of chairs and stairway banisters are his coat rack.

Pam - Your comment about the stomping through the house after you just scrubbed the floor reminded me of something that happened this weekend. DH was helping me clean the house and I was scrubbing the kitchen floor. He kept walking in and out of the kitchen doing stuff until finally I stopped scrubbing and just sat there looking at him. Finally he realized that maybe he should stop walking on the wet floor while I was trying to clean it :D LOL!

Me thinks this is a loaded question

Hey Tony, sounds like Chris and I would get along wonderfully.....I do that too, I can't help it I like to have all the lights on in the house.....besides DH pays the electric bill anyway:) :) :) :) Who wants to sit around in the dark all day????

Now lets see, something John can't do....he can't say "no" to going hunting.....he CAN NOT do the dishes   Hummm I guess hes all around a pretty good guy but once I close this thread I'll probably think of a zillion other things:)

DH is pretty handy, and as the at-home-parent and chief cook and bottle washer, I am sure he could find more to say about me! (Not putting dirty dishes in dishwasher would probably be the main complaint)

I would have to say he is unable to say NO to favors for family and friends. They know he is at-home so I can't think of a week that goes by where he doesn't have to run errands for someone or another.... and he tends to over commit himself on some days.

He CAN do anything he really puts effort into....a different story is IF he does it.;)

Just about *anything* before 9:30 or 10 am ;) He's even less of a morning person than I am.

DH is incapable of throwing away empty packages - be it milk cartons, cereal boxes, you name it - it sits on the counter until I throw them in the trash.
