Would love to take a Disney cruise but don’t want to pay the exorbitant prices like everyone I am sure 😊 just didn’t know if there was anything out there like the confirmed reservations for the hotels at DVC

not sure what you are asking. There aren't any discounts for DVC on the cruises. DVC members can use points to book cruises, but it's not a bargain based on point value.

No. Cruise reservations normally aren’t transferable. Your best bet is to look for guaranteed rates (IGT, OGT, VGT), that come out closer to the sailing date. You won’t be able to choose your room, but you’ll save a lot. For instance, for a cruise in January we’ve looked at, a verandah room went from $2,500-3,000, down to $1,700 for a double occupancy room.

Methods to sail on DCL for less:

1. Don't sail the Wish (it's not as good as the Fab Four, anyway)
2. Sail when most children are in school (so avoid summer and major holidays). September/October and January/February in particular are the cheapest times of year. Of those, January/February is better imo because it isn't hurricane season. But even other non-holiday times like early December will be a lot more affordable than summer or Thanksgiving or Christmas week or spring break season.
3. Book a GT rate, which is nonrefundable and won't let you pick your exact stateroom, only the general category- whether it will be inside, oceanview or verandah. These rates are a lot cheaper than normal rates. Not every sailng will have them, but they're always out there and a lot of sailings have them right now because of Covid causing the ships to be underfilled. These rates start showing up in the last few months before sailing.
4. Sail inside or oceanview instead of verandah. On some cruises this is more of a money saver than on others. If the price is close, as it often is on short Dream cruises, for example, I'd advise you to get the verandah. But if the difference is very significant, as it often is on the Magic class and/or on longer cruises, consider an inside or oceanview. I've sailed in all three types on both the Dream class and Magic class, and enjoyed every cruise. All Disney staterooms are comfortable. The oceanview staterooms have very nice windows and plenty of natural light. On the Dream class ships, the inside staterooms have "magical portholes" which are virtual portholes with characters occasionally floating through.

As mentioned above, it is possible for DVC members to book a cruise using DVC points, but the number of points required relative to the "cash" cost means that DVC members are better off using their points to book hotel rooms on land. Therefore, you are unlikely to find a deal for renting DVC points for a cruise similar to the savings you can get by renting points at DVC hotels.

If you are sure about taking a specific cruise with specific people, you can save by booking the Guaranteed Rates that Akck and Cheburashka describe. These rates require payment in full at time of booking and do not allow any changes to rooms or passengers.

If you happen to live in Florida or Canada or be an active or retired member of the US military, you might be able to find discounts for some cruises. Otherwise, nonrestricted discounts are rare.
