Is there anything I can't use Disney GC for?

So, you budget folks have convinced me to stock up on Disney Gift Cards using my Target card. But I want to make sure I can do what I want to do before I start buying.

Can I put everything on my KTTW card and pay off the balance (at checkout) with the GCs?

Can I preorder Photopass with GCs?

I know that if I use my Disney Visa at certain stores I get a % off (50 or more). Do I actually have to USE my Visa or just show it?

For those of you that have done this before, how much do you budget in GC's/day? I don't want to end up with a ton leftover, so I will probably err on the side of not enough but I figured I'd get others opinions.

I just use the gift cards themselves (we get tgem from the Disney Visa) rather than charge to the room and then pay that off. We use express checkout and I don't want to go to the lobby to do that prior to leaving. Another bonus is that most places can just swipe your gift cards without your signature....while the room card requires a signature. Your receipt will tell you how much is left on your card

The only place I had trouble using the gift card at was the crepe stand in France - their machine was acting up. Yhe serve the BEST ice cream there!!!

In order to get the discount you must use the Disney VISA card or Disney VISA Rewards Card for payment.

I'm not positive but I believe you can pre-order the Photpass CD using GC's.

Yes. I've done this plenty of times. You just have to keep track of your spending because Disney has a limit that you can charge before they process it thru on your CC on file. The higher the level your hotel is, the higher your limit will be.

• Deluxes = $1500
• Moderates = $1000
• Values = $500

Just go to the front desk to pay your balance before it reaches that limit. You can also put your gift cards on your account when you check in, although not every CM knows how to do this.

We are going to Disneyland in April. Can we use these GCs to purchase tickets at the gate?
