Is there anything for kids to do in vero beach?

Hi there!

So we have a trip planned at BLT 11/6-11/11 and planned on getting a cash reservation (with AP discount) at Vero Beach for the rest of the week. We've never been there before, have heard great things about it, and are just in the mood for something different. Our DS loves the water and would have a great time at the beach and all the VB activities look great. Ah the perfect plan except at this time there are no AP discounts at VB and we can't afford (or won't) pay rack rate. I have found a Springhill suites hotel which isn't on the water but is half the cost. I know we'd still be able to get in beach time but other than that if we lose the disney activities I don't want our kids (mainly DS) to be bored. So other than hanging on the beach what else do your kids do when at VB or is it just not a good spot for young kids?

There's sites to see & things to do at VB but it is more quiet, less touristy than many other beach towns. I'd go with Disney resort; they've got planned activities each day. I don't know of any other VB resorts (there aren't many) that are as family friendly but then again, we haven't looked into other places to stay at VB, we stay at Disney VB.

If you are DVC members call MS and see if they are offering cash discounted member's rate for your dates in November, or look into renting a reservation from a DVC member which will very likely save you $ over rack rate.
