Is there anyone not having rain?

Yesterday we had some really nasty thunder and lightening and a few sprinkles for all of 10 minutes but it never rained. And you should have seen the radar! It was actually quite eerie, dark and overcast all day. Today is starting out the same but still no rain. Weird.

Doesn't sound good. :( Is there another hurricane forcasted?

Sorry, I'm from north Texas...could someone please explain to me what "rain" is? :confused3 Is that the wet stuff that used to fall from the sky? It's been so long...I can't remember. On the bright side, I don't think we'll hit triple digits today. :sunny:

I would love some rain. I thought it might rain here yesterday the skys were pretty dark and it was showing it on the forecast. It just blew alot of dust though which is really annoying and we might have gotten two sprinkles but that's it.

All of you not getting rain, come to Pa. we have plenty.

LOL, well the problem would be getting our garden to PA!

Actually we had a fairly long dry spell but we've been getting small showers every day since then.

It doesn't soak the ground as well as we'd like but it keeps everything growing so our garden is doing ok now. The side effect is that it works to keep it humid. VERY humid. AH, the joys of KY in summer!

It seems like it we've only had one or two sunny days since we came back from Disney in May. I wish we could send some to those who need it.

We are suppose to have rain on and off this entire week. Last night we had a whopper of storm. The thunder was so loud it constantly shook the whole house. I could hardly sleep, and normally I love sleeping during a storm.

Our forecast for the week has no :sunny: what so ever for the whole week. It shows rain clouds and lightning bolts :sad2: Good for my plants and grass, but I like a little. :beach: Right now it is only 66 and the air is cool but still humid. The clouds keep hanging around and we are getting some thunder with rain every now and then :umbrella:

For stir crazy kids I usually put them to work. :scratchin Maybe I could get the basement cleaned out :woohoo: Some :laundy: done or maybe even get their rooms clean :faint: :rotfl2: .

Actually we belong to lifetime so we will probably go up and go swimming today.

No rain here :rotfl:
Actually a bit hot for us :sunny:

A bit hot?! (insert melting into ground smilie) It's already 74 out here at 9:25! I hate the heat, anything over 76 is too much.

Mostly I'm just crabby because the girls are both in an asthma flair the meds aren't holding them off and with the heat and smog advisory it's not helping at all. :sad2:

So please send rain, lots of rain! It's supposed to rain in Seattle, I like rain!! :umbrella:

I wouldn't mind some good rain. Here in Texas we are suffering a major draught. The ground is all dry and cracked and everything is kind of like kindling. It's kind of scary, to be honest.

I'm in Fairfax, VA and the concert hall where I work flooded last night... THe water was rising but the whole campus was doing it (drainage couldn't handle the amount of rain) so there wasn't anything anyone could do, they told us to go home. Today the water's gone and they're drying out the carpets with big fans, but it's still raining so hopefully it won't happen again tonight. We might have to replace the floor in the black box theatre next door. My boyfriend was re-routed on the way home from DC last night because there were cars floating o the interstate... it's exciting in the DC area!

Rain, Rain go away!!! It is awful here in Vermont too. :guilty: I am so sick of it. Rain is expected every day through Sunday this week.

I am on vacation next week in Maine and I'm so worried it will rain the entire time.

Dear Mother Nature - please give me sun next week! :sunny:

I woke up this morning.. I step outside it is like I am stepping into a steam room. It is hot outside. I live in Oregon and well lets just say this is really nice change. All school year it was misrable. It started raining one day and decided to stop months later. We had gray skies for months and did not see blue skies for a long time. So this is a nice change. I just :rotfl2: :rotfl2: When I hear people complaining about a little rain..

*sorry just had to get that out of my system I was stuck in the rain for months and yah..*

This is our 2nd month of rain - I'm not complaining about a little rain. I think we've only had 3 days of dry weather in the 2 months. So, our entire Spring and now into Summer it has been awful.

Please send some our way. Less than 2" of rain in over 3 months. Our grass is dead.

Right now we got a reprieve, the rain has actually stopped for about 1/2 hour now. But I hear thunder in the distance, and the scroll on the bottom of my tv is calling for the storm to last until 8:00pm. Flood warnings all over the place.

Read in the Orlando Sentinel that the DC area is a mess, hope the rains stop there soon.

Well as I type this the thunder is closer now, so here we go again. Who would have thought that we would have rain all of spring and now summer looks like a wash out.

The development I live in has 5 lakes the largest being 100 acres, plus there is one not to far from our house. I am hoping they don't over flow or we are going to be stranded.

That is what we went through all winter. I was not trying to be rude sorry

Yah, for once it is NOT raining here in the PNW!! :cool1: :sunny:

I'm in Montgomery county, MD and things are flooding around here. The entire MARC train was stopped this morning because of flooding on the tracks and so DH had to drive in. There was a mudslide that closed off traffic in places and there is a lot of flooding around DC. We live off a creek in Mont. county that is flooding, but luckly we have a very large hill in our backyard. Haven't seen the stream yet. ;)
