Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Hope your as happy as can be!!!

I was Just wondering, is there anyone else out there that is obsessed with planning their WDW vacation??
I have been planning our first trip to the World as family since February of this year. My DH, DS,(13), DS(3), and myself.
And I just can't seem to stop.
I've bought 3 guides, one including TGM, and Unofficial guide. I read everything from front to back at least twice. I'm on this website and others at least 3 or 4 times a day, and into the night. My husband asked me the other night, after coming to bed rather late, because of being on Dis boards, he said, "What are you going to do AFTER our vacation?"
And you know, that's a really good question. I have no idea what I am gonna do. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
I've learned so much, and yet I feel I haven't even touched the surface.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, is there anyone else out there who is just like me??
Please, I feel so alone. And the mouse won't talk back!!

You are not alone!!

I have been lurking and posting here for over a year (I just called it "pre-planning") to get as much information as I could from people in the know. Finally, I have made it from the "pre-planning" to the actual planning of our trip in November--just booked our off-site accomodations this week, yay!

My motto is, "I need to know more". Now I go online at least twice a day. Need to know more about airline transportation, rental cars, off-site and theme parks restaurants, footwear, what to pack, the must-see attractions, etc., and so forth... Well you get the picture, right? Another obsessed DIS-aholic, here! BTW, my DH does not even ask "What are you doing?" when he sees me at the computer anymore; he already knows!!

I know what you mean I have also been planning since last year.. and now I have 29 days til we are there and I am constinently researching.. Very anxious this will be my 1st trip as well.. Hope I can remember everything I researched...LOL...

Oh, I am most definitely obsessed - its driving my family NUTS LOL I need to know as much as humanly possible about Disney before we go, we watch Disney movies every night and there is a little bit of Disney in every room in the house!

Let me introduce you to myself...lol. We honeymooned @ Disney in 1996 and always said we'd go back for our 10 yr Anniversary, but we also said (or thought) we wouldn't take young kids. Well our 10 yr anniversary is in Jan. and we will be going with our newly 7, 5 and 3 yr old boys and 6 month old little girl. We bought the Unofficial guide a couple of days ago and I began pouring over it and then I found these boards yesterday. Everynight DH and I are on the laptop before bed cruising around looking at stuff and sites. I am so so so so excited I can hardly wait!!!!

I am completely obsessed too!! I,too, have bought pretty much every Disney book out there. I am driving my husband crazy. Now that I have found this website I can't sleep at night, because I am on here reading about everything! My husband wants to know what I will do too when our trip is over in July--I don't know either!! I don't even want to think about it being over. In addition to books, I have bought everything from new sneakers to a new stroller for my DS, neither of which I really needed. Everything I say do or see relates to Disney for me!! Believe me, you are not alone...ISN'T IT FUN!!!!!

Hello! Another "obsessed" planner here! I've been working on a Sept. 2006 trip since October of last year.

And we say to each other....Were going to Disney World!!!!!
What happened to us was we bought DVC.
We just love it there. We grew up with Walt on Sunday nights and the rest is history.
Glad there are so many people on these boards like us because many friends and family just don't get it.

I'm also obsessed. My dh understands though, he is obsessed too. He doesn't do the research, but he is always willing to talk disney with me or anyone else. We average a trip every 18 months or so. We always say that it will be years before we can afford to go again, but somehow Disney calls and we manage another trip. It is the only place we go as a family and everyone has a good time.

Okay, I'll admit it - I'm obsessed, too! lol! In college I schemed for all 4 years to get my friends to join me on a WDW vacation; they never did agree to go with me, but I spent HOURS at the library looking for info. Good thing the internet was still fairly new (we didn't have email until my junior year) or I'd never have passed my classes - I would have been online looking up Disney info rather than studying!

Now that I finally get to go back and bring my dh with me, I've been planning and researching since September...and one week from right now we'll be arriving at WL!!! DH is totally baffled by my obsession, but he was very sweet about giving me a guide book for Christmas. (I didn't tell him it was outdated and I'd already gathered all the info contained therein... )

Best of all, one of my friends is planning a trip to take her dh & 2 dd's in the next year, and so when I get back I get to help her plan her trip! Who knows...maybe I'll have found a job by then so I could join them as a personal tour guide...
