I'm hoping to get a short run in (3 miles) - any suggestions of good running path close to Blizzard Beach?

My party is planing to spend the whole day there, and I'd like to get my run in before we head back to the resort...any ideas?

Any insight much appreciated!

cheers,
:)

Blizzard Beach isn't terribly far from Coronado Springs, and they've got a jogging/running path. I believe it's fairly short, though.

Thx for the idea, ravenclawtrekkie - never thought to run to a resort to run...will look into it.

BTW, as a trekkie heading to DA for the first time in a couple of weeks, I had a giggle when I saw your screenname ...love it...LOL!

cheers,
:)

Are you staying on Disney Property? There are jogging trails all over. The CSR is only a .75 mile loop, but the one I was thinking off the top of my head was the loop around the Boardwalk -- tons of runners, especially in the morning. SSR also has a 1.4 mile loop, but it all depends on if you have a car. If not, CSR is the way to go.

No jogging trail at the park. But if you were to go to a resort, as noted CSR is closest but doesn't have a really long loop around for jogging, although it could be done with multiple circuits.

Thx for the replies. I am staying on property but will not have a car and I will go to BB to set up/get settled in, etc. Then was thinking of going for my run - of course so convenient as I can go shower to get cleaned up before relaxing in the lazy river. After the CSR suggestion, I looked at a map to get a sense of the area, and All Stars looks pretty close too.

cheers,
:)

When my family is spending all day somewhere, I just get up extra early and get my exercise/run in before the start of the day. It actually is very enjoyable that way and I feel it's out of the way and all done for the start of the day.

Just be aware that, unless something has changed recently, you are not allowed to run on the WDW roadways. That means you will have to take a bus to either CSR or the All-Stars for your run and then bus back to BB.

There's a sidewalk from the main entrance of the Blizaard Beach parking lot that runs [pun intended] parallel to Buena Vista Drive up to CSR with a crosswalk across Buena Vista Drive to the CSR main entrance.

THIS. No running on roadways is true but this location has sidewalks.

One of the rare sidewalks goes from CSR to BB to McDonalds with crossovers and then with another crossing to AllStars. I would run the path to CSR, go inside, run around the lake, backtrack to McD and back. You should be able to easily do your mileage using the sidewalk.

Wow, wonderful info MouseMomx2, PCFriar80, HopperFan - thx a mint for taking the time to post it! :goodvibes

I checked it out on google maps so I know where I'm going (the mention of CSR main gate really helped), and if I run the outer rim of CSR, it's 3mi - looks like I'm set!

cheers,
:)
