...without actually being at the park?

There's one being released soon at DL that I really want, but I can't quite justify going there for a weekend (using up southwest credit on a last minute ticket, paying for a hotel, paying to get DS and I from and to the airport, food) just to get this pin. Especially if there's any other way to get it.

Is there?

Pin available to Annual Passholders. I'm new to having an AP, and therefore new to these pins, but I saw it and now I want it, but I'm not quite willing to pay almost 1K to do a last-minute flight for me and my 3 year old to pay 13 bucks to get a pin...:rotfl:

Obviously I've been doing some research on flights since I posted. :scared:

You can watch if it comes up on ebay or see if Delivears can help. I am going at the end of January and will pick it up for you if it is still there....

Aw, you're so sweet! We're going in December, so if it's still there I can get it then, but I can't help but feel that it will be gone because if I, a person who is anti-collecting and doesn't trade, want this, there must be a ton of others who want it too!:upsidedow

What is the release date, someone that is going might be willing to pick it up for you..... I am seriously concidering going early in the morning tomorrow for an over nighter, have to check on hotels.... but there are always folks from the boards down there.

Blueberrystamps, I found them here, upcoming pins.

That shows ALL of the upcoming ones, even the ones at WDW and other places, so you have to sort of wade through it all. :)

MasterMason that's so kind of you! Looks like someone local-ish to me might be able to get one, but thank you so much!

I can't believe how much airfare is for right now!!! I'm so used to traveling in off-season times, and haven't traveled over holidays since college, AND I never get airline tickets at the last minute...I'm just not used to these costs!

I am staying at DLH 11/1 to 11/4 and would be happy to purchase an AP pin for you (I have a deluxe AP). I could mail it to you in a bubble envelope on Monday 11/5. We have a sophisticated UPS mailroom where I work and it would truly be no problem. You could send me a check or whatever is convenient to you. Let me know in the next day or two if this is of interest to you. I love helping other Diz board members out - and quite frankly someone needs to pay it forward to you after all your well thought out and helpful posts you have been making :) .

Oh lulubelle, that's so sweet! Sniffle sniffle. It looks like I have it covered, but thank you so much !!!!!

Do you know I actually worried that I would get replies like..."how do WE know you have an AP and are entitled, hmm?"? I was prepared to take a picture of me with the picture side of my AP (numbers blocked out of course) with maybe my receipt showing last September on it.....

I might be spending too much time on other message boards and/or our own community and budget boards...:rotfl: But not the dear sweet Disneyland forum, no siree, you guys are sweet! :flower3:

Me and my DFi will be there on the 9th and are going to get APs for the first time!!! We just got into pin trading last trip where are we able to pick up these pins?

There's a list of pin stores here: http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/page?id=resortLocations

That encompasses many Disney sites, but the DL stuff is listed first, I noticed.

For anyone new to having an AP, or new to pins (I am both!), they have pins that they give at certain restaurants, when you show your AP, and have spent $30 or more before taxes and tip. When we were there (and they might still have these unless they ran out) they had Stitch pins; he's holding a pizza like he's a chef or server. We spent $80 at blue Bayou, I showed my AP for the discount, and they came out with TWO of those pins ($30 x 2). I could have gotten another at Pizza Oom Mow Mow, but I didn't notice that they participated until after I had ordered $25 worth of food. D'oh! Gotta do it on one ticket.

Starting Nov 4 they are coming out with the 4th in the series, which is shown on the link from earlier, it's Chip and Dale as chefs. Cute, if you like Chip and Dale and/or Storyteller's Cafe. :)

Now the one I'm looking at we still have to pay for, unlike the ones I just described, but it will still be fun.

oh, and specifically, we stopped at Pin Traders in DTD on our trip, and noticed that they seemed to sell AP exclusive pins...if I were able to get down there for the 4th, I know I'd likely stop in there if I were in DTD already...other than that, any of the stores from the link I gave first in this post.

But leave one for my new friend to get for me, OK? :upsidedow
