Is there any way to get a Disney resort reservation at the moment?

After Disney's site stopped selling tickets and accepting reservations, I was still able to book a resort stay through Undercover Tourist, and link it in MDE. When I checked today, it looks like there are no available rooms on UT now. Are there rooms anywhere? I assume DVC could theoretically be possible, but reports are that there's not much DVC inventory with all the canceled stays during the shutdown.

Nope not right now since they have shut down everything but Cancellations at the current time.

They are making massive changes at the moment and don't want us to muck up the process so we will just sit here and .... :chat:

I think trying a DVC rental site may be your only option until the reservation system is back up and we know what they will allow in terms of new reservations.

As far as I know, you can still book DVC. The issue there is that you would need to commit to it. These circumstances have shown there isn’t much flexibility in the DVC booking. Or wait until they reopen reservations. It probably will take a bit of time.

DVC owners can make reservations. Things are pretty limited...unless you want to go prior to park opening.

If you’re willing to rent a confirmed DVC reservation you might be able to snag a good deal. Some owners are worried about the virus and won’t be willing to travel yet. Others aren’t allowed into the US or Florida. (Lots of questions from Canadian DVC owners on this topic!)

Thanks. I didn't know if some sources might have rooms that are separate from Disney's own inventory. I'm not ready to book something that’s not refundable at this point, and I know DVC is.

I also live in a state that is still on Florida’s two-week quarantine list, so early July is not possible. Since we don’t know if the quarantine order will be extended, or for how long if it is extended, I can’t commit to a non refundable booking at this point.

So, looks like it’s back to wait-and-see for me!
