Is there any way to email about dietary needs?

I called the dining number to see if I could add dietary needs to my ADRs and the CM told me there was no way to do that, but to tell them when I check in. I tried that last trip and it just didn't work. We have reservations at the Liberty Tree Tavern, Boma, Yak & Yeti, Marakesh, Crystal Palace, and 50s Prime Time.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I would suggest you go over to the disABILITIES Forum and click on the first thread there, the "disABILITIES FAQ". Page 3 gives a lot of information about diet and provides useful links.

Call again and ask another cast member. All of our ADRs last trip had a note about my nephews dairy and tree nut allergies. We re-confirmed it at the desk when checking in, but it was also on the ADR.

That CM would be incorrect. I've made many dining plans and added that my sister has celiac. Most of the time I remember to say this right away and the CM can just make sure it is on all other reservations I make that day. A couple of times, I have made a mistake and waited part way through the reservation before telling them. It takes a little bit more time but it can be added. It will be noted on your reservation when you check in (that little slip of paper that they bring to the paper with you to give to the server). Make sure that you remind the server that you have to speak with the chef.

I agree with calling back and trying to get another CM. Good luck!

I agree that you did not have a properly informed clerk and you should call back. I always note my DD8 being celiac on the dining reservations and they also give you the phone number for each chef in case you want to call ahead. I didn't call ahead, but just upon our arrival at each restaurant the chef came and saw us and made recommendations. They were prepared to see us and WDW offers great service for allergies etc.
