Is there any type of monthly payment plans for annual passes?

I just want to apologize in advance if this has been asked or discussed already. I'm in a rush right now and don't have time to look through all the posts.

When my mom and I were pricing out how much it would be for annual or seasonal passes for the both of us, our mouths dropped. With money being tight, we really can't afford the price all at once. Is there any type of monthly payment plan similar to those at Busch Gardens/Adventure Island? How does that all work for paying for the passes?

short of using a credit card, not at WDW. Disneyland does for applicable SoCal residents though.

maybe this is something the planners above will start to do...disney lay a way

1) WDW is pay-as-you-go, for everything.
2) The exceptiona are resort packages that have to be paid in-advance.

disney doesn't do it, like the other theme parks in orlando do

Sea world has a yearly pass payment plan
Universal Studios has a yearly pass payment plan
Busch Gardens has a yearly pass payment plan

disney doesn't!! they Never have and more then likely they never will....

Disneyland does it, but only for Southern California residents.

If Disney World were to ever start it, there is no doubt it would be limited to, at the most, Florida residents. Too much liability in offering it to everybody.

The OP could do their own form of lay-away: purchase Disney Gift Cards in whatever amount is affordable each month, then when you have enough value, use the cards to purchase the APs. There's no cost involved other than the actual GC value - no fees, no surcharges, no interest, no nothing.

I sure wish they did have one. It is hard to pay for AP's for 5 people all at once. :scared1: Now someone on the DVC board had a good idea that she does. She buys vouchers every so often (they never expire) and she locks in the lower prices. They go enough to warrant have AP's. That way she always has AP vouchers and when you buy them say every 3 or 4 months...you can design your own payment plan. :goodvibes

If you are planning on staying on property during your first visit using your AP, you could also book a disney package w/ a park hopper ticket, make payments as you would with any other package and then upgrade your tix to an AP when you arrive.

This is what we do - we purchase one gift card and continue to add to it whenever we're at the mall - which is often since my little ones like to play there and ride the train. I'm horrible at saving money in our savings account, so it would be gone - or significantly less - before we went otherwise.

WOW!!! I had never thought of this!!! That is a great idea!!! I will start doing this!!! THANKS FOR THE IDEA!!!!

WOW thank you SOOO much for all the ideas! I spoke with my mom about the gift card idea especially, and she's all for it:thumbsup2! It's definitely much easier than paying the whole thing out in full. I truly appreciate all of the awesome answers everyone supplied!
I will definitely start buying Disney gift cards ASAP.

If you have a Disney Store nearby, you don't have to buy a bunch of separate gift cards. You can buy one, then resturn to the Disney Store and add more money to it whenever you choose. I use this method to save for my trips.

I buy a Disney Gift Card each year, and add some money to it every two weeks when I get paid. By trip time, I have enough on the card to pay my room balance or take care of my food budget, or both.

One word of caution: When you buy your Disney Gift Card, whether you buy it online or at a DIsney Store, be sure to keep the original purchase receipt in a safe place - and not with the card! If your card gets lost, stolen, or damaged, it can be inactivated and replaced, as long as you have that receipt.

You can pay for your FL resident AP in 2 payments. Here's how:
1. Go one time & pay for a FL resident 3 day or 4 day ticket.
2. Go within the next 6 months (even if all days are used) and upgrade your ticket to an AP. You then pay the remaining balance for a FL resident AP. Both payments end up being around $180, but it's easier than paying $360 at once.

I was just going to say the same thing, or just get a jar and keep putting spare change and extra cash in it.

both such good ideas

1) WDW is pay-as-you-go, for everything.

Except for buying dvc points on credit from disney and paying for them over 5-10 years.
