Is there any public transportation between WDW and Vero Beach ?

We will be flying in to MCO and would like to go to Disney a few days and maybe to Vero Beach a couple days. I do not want to rent a car and would like to know if there are any type of public transportation to do that . I thought maybe Disney would provide some type of transportation to and from here but I have not found anything.

Keep in mind that it's around 100 miles each way between WDW and Vero Beach. The driving time is close to 2 hours each way.

Any point-to-point car service (towncar, van, taxi, etc.) will be very expensive.

Using a long-distance bus company would mean that you're limited to that company's schedule and its pick-up and drop-off locations. So you're likely to need taxis at both ends.

Then, in either case, if you want to go anywhere in the Vero Beach area, you'll needs to take taxis.

What's the reason you don't want to rent a car? Are you hoping to save money by avoiding the cost of a rental car? Or is there another reason (such as not having a drivers license)?

A reasonably-priced car rental should be the cheapest solution, if that's an option for you.

Agree with PP. Having stayed at Disney Vero Beach before, I can confirm that it is pretty isolated even from other places within the city of Vero Beach. Renting a car could possibly end up saving some money over an extended stay just in being able to find some less expensive places to eat offsite (dining can be quite expensive at the resort). And to get to WDW it would cost only a fraction of what it would cost to hire any kind of shuttle service. We were lucky that we drove down in our own vehicle to VB, and then drove over to WDW a couple days.

If you're worrying about driving from VB to WDW, don't. It's an easy drive, just so long as you take the recommended toll roads, etc. If you get off the toll roads too early before getting to WDW, you can run into a nightmare of traffic lights. From VB, just stay on Hwy. 60, then the Florida Turnpike, then the Florida Greeneway and finally Osceola Parkway. This might not be the best "as a crow flies" route between the two, but I think it's worth it. I did a "straighter" route once and it took an extra 45 minutes.

Happy limo charges $500 R/T for town car service between MCO and Jacksonville. Vero Beach isn't as far so the cost may be a little less. The rates are high, in part, because the have to include the cost of the driver driving back to Orland empty and the cost of deadheading back to pick you up.

You'll need to add the cost to get to and from the shuttle bus stop.

I'll agree with the PP, you'll probably want a car at Vero Beach.

It's a loooong drive..and a pretty boring one at that. Did it last Sept. Won't do that again any time soon! Took about 2 hrs...maybe a shade more.

Ok thanks all. I didnt know it would be so expensive to get to and from Vero Beach. I thought it may be around 100.00 per person.
I did not want to rent a car because I do not like driving in places I do not know well. But renting a car would be the best option.

Really, the drive is pretty straightforward. It's just long. It shouldn't be an issue for those unfamiliar with the area.
As far as car services go...it's $100+ one way between Sanford Intl and WDW. It's under an hour, but because the drivers usually have to return with no passengers it's more expensive. So, getting a car service from WDW to VB would be hugely expensive! 2 hrs each way, and no passenger going back.
