Is there any food on which we can all agree?

I've been wondering if there are any (almost) unanimous opinions on some aspect of food in Disney World. I know that Dole Whips have their lovers (and haters.) ABC Commissary has its defenders. Some people love Turkey legs, others feel like emu isn't their thing...

The closest I can come is this statement:

Mickey Bars are pretty good.

If you disagree, post *your* idea for the thing we might all be able to agree on. The next person is welcome to disagree and then post their idea for what we may all be able to agree on...and so on and so on.

Does anyone dislike chocolate mousse? I know that I love the French version. :)

There are not many defenders out there for this place. I'm sure the overwelming majority would never step foot in this place again. I'd have to say this is (almost) a unanimous opinion. :lmao:

The one thing I'm sure which would have a unanimous opinion is for those who have had the priviledge of eating at Victoria & Alberts. I loved it for our only visit. Best food in all of WDW.

I agree! If you can scrape up enough pennies, it's something you have to do once! My DH is quite the foodie and I've never seen him that happy at a meal.

But most people will never get there - so I'll cast my vote for Chocolate Crepe...anyone?

Mickey Bars, chocolate mousse, chocolate crepes...mmmm...I think I notice a trend.

Victoria and Alberts is a good one! I've heard VERY few negative comments regarding it.

Any others? I came up with a few other, non-chocolate, pretty consistent ones--

--Flame Tree is yummy.
--The best parts of Chef Mickey's are the Characters.
--The quick service place in Japan is kinda greasy.

MIckey Bars

Chocolate gelato dessert at Portobello's

Turf Club Caesar salad

Definitely Mickey Bars - in 2006 EVERY DDP snack credit for our family went to the purchase of mickey bars (35), except one where my son tried a frozen banana and regretted it!

Mickey shaped rice krispy treats or anything mickey shaped lol
I cannot wait to try a mickey ice cream bar in sept.
also prime rib at crt
and the chicken penne alfredo at all stars hotels
I am getting hungry, only a little over 6 months:cheer2:

I do not like Mickey Bars as I do not like ice cream.

I do love Victoria & Alberts and have only ever seen two postings on the dis of people who did not like it (too fancy for them).

I would have to help make this one at least slightly non-unanimous. DW and I have both found a couple of things that we like at the ABC Commissary and usually stop there once a trip.

I would definitely agree with the Mickey Bars as being unanimous unless someone just doesn't eat ice cream. I actually prefer the Mickey Ice Cream Sandwhiches though.

I, too, love Mickey Bars! But there is also something about Disney popcorn:: !

Can't remember reading any posts on anyone disliking it! Assuming of course that you eat popcorn::

Okay, I'll be that girl. I don't like the Mickey bars. I just don't like the chocolate coating on them. I prefer the Mickey sandwiches.

Some food I can't recall anyone complaining about:
-Earl of Sandwich
-Wolfgang Puck Express
-"Make Your Own" treats at Goofy's Candy Co.

I agree Mickey bars are good though I prefer the Mickey ice cream sandwiches. BUT, I must have one of each per trip, it's tradition.
I too think the popcorn is amazingly good for some reason. WPE makes me weak in the knees!
Another think I have not heard too many complaints about are my favorite, Kaki Gori and also pretty much anything from the Main Street Bakery.

I've never heard complaints about the food at MSB, but I had a cappuccino from there and it was gross. I don't think there was any sugar in it, but even after I added some, it was still nasty.

Now I am not a coffee drinker, so I don't know, but that made me think of one I seem to always hear, that the coffee at the resorts is awful. My DH got a Keurig for Christmas and I am pretty sure it will be going on it's first trip to Disney in November. :rotfl: He said he'd love it if they put the machines in at Disney and sold the K-cups. Even if he had to buy them there for a pricey cost, he'd be happy to.
