Is there any advantage of having an American Express card now?

With the addition of the new Visa card, is there any advantage of having an American Express card now? Will you get any special discounts or gifts? Thanks!

Amex & Disney termintated their contract as of 1/03. At least that is what I was told. I have an Amex & just came home from there..... there were no discounts or anything for using it......

Get a Starwood Amex - we get SPG points for every dollar we charge and we're using our points (collected over a year or so) for free nights at the Dolphin!!!

We have the Delta Airlines AMEX card and charge all of our household expenses and pay it off each month... we have earned 4 roundtrip tickets so far...

Amex still has their rewards program....it just doesn't offer any disney deals. We accrue our points and use them for airline tickets and gift certificates (blockbuster, saks, coach, etc). They charge about $50-$75 per year to do this but we usually get a few airline tickets out of it!
