Is there another restaurant w/ a good steak for 1TS credit?

Strolling through the DIS today and thought I might ask this just for fun! Now that Le Cellier has up the ante to Signature thus 2 TS credits for dinner. Is there another restaurant on property that has a great steak and is still only 1TS dinner credit? That's all for now going to play some games.

Depends on what you consider a 'great' steak

I can think of a three places I've had NY strip for dinner on 1TS credit, which isn't the best steak in the world, but it was pretty nice (although nowhere near as nice as a good filet of course)

Those places were (so not sure if they are still on the menu):

Kona Cafe
Mama Melrose
Tonys Town Square

I also had a beef tenderloin at the Wave a few years ago which was really nice, at the time they were doing 'cut of the day' for the beef so it was pot luck as to what cut you would get

Another place I have seen NY strip on the menu was Sanaa.


So I guess if you look around you can find some alternate choices if you don't mind a slightly worse cut (although all the strips I've had in the world have been very tasty and not that fatty)

We LOVE the ribeye at Grand Fla Cafe. It has always been wonderful.

Last year, we got a last minute table at the Kona Cafe and highly recommend it. The Rib Eye was fantastic. It was one of the best meals we had during our entire trip and we intentionally got an ADR there for our upcoming trip in June.

I was also going to recommend Kona. My DH always gets a steak there, and he loves it. I'm not really big on steak, and I thought it was really good, too.

We have consistently had pretty good NY Strips at Coral Reef. It's a nice size and has a good flavor. Plus, the CR is a nice, relaxing place to dine-and the Chocolate Wave for dessert is the best! This is a traditional 1TS place for our family year after year.

WCC has a pretty good Strip steak. I enjoyed it, was cooked properly, had a nice flavor.

They used to have a ribeye that was out of this world good, but it seems they have replaced it with the strip. Oh well....

But I still enjoyed the strip enough to return for it.

I've had three 1-credit TS restaurant steaks. I didn't care for the one at Coral Reef, and while the one at Rose&Crown was very tasty it was sinewy in a few too many places. The one I had at Mama Melrose was quite good...awesome mouthwatering sauce!

I know it's not quite the same thing, but you can get filet mignon as the entry meat choice at Teppan Edo - SO yummy!

I can't actually think of a time that I've ever ordered a steak from a non-signature restaurant, but based on the opinions of people I trust, I will say that I've heard good things about the steaks at both the Coral Reef and the Grand Floridian Café.

We just went in Feb. My husband had a lot of steak while there for 1TS he said the Serious Sirloin at Ragland Road was perfect this trip. I myself had the it's not bleedin chowder. We have to eat there every trip just so I can have the chowder but I did try a bite of the steak and it was cooked perfect and had a nice flavor. Also if you like Le Cellier you could do lunch for 1 TS I think their mushroom filet is on the lunch menu still but I could be wrong. Finally it has been 2 years but hubby also had the steak at WP Cafe and said it was pretty good.

We had a seriously good steak at the Turf Club a few years ago. We have also never been disappointed with Kona or the Wave.

Turf Club is Great alot of people never go there sinceit is in SSR but we go ever trip.
