Is there an "official" "end" date to the 50th Celebration?

Starting to plan a trip for 2006 to DL/CA - does anyone know if there is an "official" ending date to the Happiest Celebration - we want to be sure and visit while the 50th celebration is still going on, but would like to go as late in the year as possible.

If it's a full 18 months it would be October 2006
