Due to food allergies (petroleum) we are very limited in our food choices. One thing we can enjoy is Einstein Bros. Bagels, but since they are $$, we only get them on vacations. Is ther an Einstein Bros. not too far from FW? I checked their site, but thought one of you might be able to give me better info. :worship:

Thank you in advance!

If I'm read'n your post correctly,:confused3
I havta agree, I don't like petroleum in my foods either.:lmao:

In protest against the Gulf oil disaster and BP, Kraft foods has announced they will no longer be using petroleum as a food additive.

I highly doubt that. Petroleum (crude oil) is in most artificial colors, artificial flavors, and the common preservatives BHA, BHT, and TBHQ. Kraft Foods are notorious for being full of those. :(

There is one in Dr. Phillips, which is not a difficult drive from the fort. You will begin by making a left out of the Fort, a right on Winter Garden Vineland rd, and then a left on S Apopka Vineland.

Put this into Google maps for further instructions.

You read that right. We avoid foods with petroleum (crude oil) in them.

When my oldest boy eats any food with petroleum in it, he gets like this:yay: :hyper2: and then like this :sad::furious::crazy:

Once all the petroleum is out of his system, he once again becomes like this :sunny:

Kinda gives new meaning to "Gets my motor running",
doesn't it ? :lmao:

That's kind gross to know. The 21 century kinda makes me sick to my stomach with all this knowledge.

I did visit the Einstein Bagels once, a bit of a pain to find it at first in the shopping plaza. And don't forget to sign up for the facebook page. They often have coupons on there for free bagels. For like 2 months they were giving away a free bagel, and then they gave away a free bagel and smear, it was only for fridays or something.

Make a left out of the campgrounds, make a right onto 535 (where vista dead ends), make a left at Apopka-Vineland Rd (there's a Ale house on the left and a shell station on the right at this corner). Head up the road a few miles to Sand Lake Rd (I believe there's a sign for I-4 as well at this corner), and hang a right. There's a Barnes and Noble on the right, at the following light, hang a left and the shopping plaza is on your left. It's there towards the front of the plaza (facing the east).

Another thing about Einstein Bagels though, is they still use HFCS. They created a discussion earlier in the year on this. Possibly eliminating it from all their products, but I don't believe they have done this yet.

What ever happened to using natural things from the earth?? It's so gross to hear what they put into food.

I know there's a lot of debates about HFCS, but some people say that they have an intolerance to it. And some parent's say it can have crazy effects on their children like the OP's son with artificial stuff.

I'm too addicted to soda to ever stop it entirely.

And when I was a kid I used to take the sugar bowl off the table (my grandmother kept a demitask spoon in it), and I would hide behind the recliner and eat it. So I'm full of sugar...

"There's a Barnes and Noble on the left,"

HOLY CRAP!!! HAS THIS BEEN PICKED UP AND PLACED ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STREET SINCE MAY?

oops, no it hasn't. It's still on the right. Thanks for the correction. The first time i was trying to find it, i spent like 20 mins driving up and down sandlake. And i was having issues with the net on my phone, so i couldn't google map it. So i parked at B&N to use the wi-fi to figure out where it was. (and took the long way around the plaza).
All for a free bagel friday morning before work.

I have no problem with petroleum in foods.

In fact, my body typically digests it and turns it into gas.
